This game is the one to crush the Os and show them who is Boss in the ALE. That's the Rays, of course

Just cannot get a hit even in a hitters count. Pop ups and fly balls

Rut needs to make them pay now

Impressed by Ranger working out of the lead off walk. Let him start #7 and try to steal an inning.

Fred. this is where Ranger unravels. Only a DP will save him here

Durbin is drifting backwards like the outgoing tide. IMO, several of the younger players are hitting the mental and physical walls.

Sox batters going through the motions but not squaring up Baz. Leaving their pitchers to have to be perfect Eyeball Anthony blows a challenge

Only hitter I know who can take a low outside sinker and bounce it foul towards 1B

    Auntie Jahmai ?

Always pay a little closer attention when Suarez pitches with 2 strikes and 2 outs. A bloop single, a roller through the mispositioned 2B slot , followed by a rocket shot that was caught, thankfully Suarez gets out of 3 full in less than 40 pitches but almost got stung Another no show by hitters. x Gasper

Suarez moving along very efficiently. Going 5+ should be achievable. Pitching 7 would be better

The BMORE unis are clown suits

Gasper shows Anthony the difference between warning track power and a 1-0 lead

Amazing how Story and Anthony finally appear a few days ago and commence hitting but just as quickly we lose Contreras and now Rafaela for a few days. That the Sox are still in a commanding position in the WC race with the extent of 2026 injuries to key players is amazing. The long duration IL stays is just as amazing. Do these guys never heal?

From observation perspective only, Jedixson needs to physically mature and probably work on his craft for 2 more MiLB seasons . At 22 and about 170lbs, he has time to grow into a pitcher with stuff somewhat like Ranger Suarez who will still be around to help him mature.

A good outing by Ranger and a win by the Soxwould go a long way towards the "Nice Try, But No Cigar" participation trophy for the Orioles No Ways Narvaez has not been a help to them. Adley's 2 HRs put some needed frosting on that cake yesterday.

AAA season ends September 20. then their playoffs end on the 26th If Mead isn't actively swinging the bat yet he will likely run out of time for a reasonable rehab stint

Watch the pitches next time. Granted he should not have been out there in the first place, nor left to hang in the 3rd/4th but Paez had nothing to offer.

Duran's hitting technique and approach at each AB has been mentioned several times here as a problem. Either he is uncouchable or unable to adjust. Either way , he is unreliable. I expect him to be gone by start of short season 2027

This is the lineup to finish the regular season. But they need to give both Abreu and Durbin each 2 consecutive nights off in separate sets of games. Both are struggling
  21. vegasbob
Unless this game turns around. the Sox are close to mimicking the Cora 2-8 start in March-early April season start. I think this one, if not salvaged. would be 2-7 for last 9.
  22. vegasbob
Anthony came close to popping that ligament again trying to halt that swing at a non strike. This crew is going nowhere
  23. vegasbob
Bennett is trying but just looks tired. White should have made a highlight catch. The real heat needs to come down on the hitters who are not . They all look tired or weak or both
  24. vegasbob
Thanks, it was my weak attempt at a lay up joke . I'll give you a like to boost your score

Abreu rips some very hittable pitches but he also fouls or pops up on several cookies.
