  1. I would still sit Bregman and Narvaez to give their legs more rest. Ok with PH'ing them if needed.
  2. Looking to see if AC puts the A lineup back on today . I am not worried unduly about facing NYY. I think the Sox get in their heads. But I would give Judge 4 balls each time up.
  3. I think you are seeing Skubal tomorrow as Tigers try to get division
  4. This may be just observational inattention but why do the Sox hitters ( all of them) not occasionally hit a high , not so deep flyball into the monster seats or down the RF line wrap around the Pesky monument ? Where are the HR's , and don't say in SF ? They will be needed in the playoffs. You're looking at a playoff team that has just two hitters above 20 HR's ( Story at 25; Abreu at 22). RBI's are worse; Story comes close at 96 but will not reach 100. Second is Duran at 83. Bregman missed too much time to be a real factor and has not hit well since return to play on 1.75 legs
  5. And a 2 out walk to the #9 hitter to load the bases for Jones. A mistake but Early was good enough for a win opportunity except the backups cannot hit much better than the regulars. Sox are only interested from the 7th inning on, and prefer to play from behind.
  6. Lowe could have been idiot if he accidentally injured Narvaez on that pop up . Carlos had clearly called it
  7. So are Yoshida and Duran when they go to left
  8. Not in the least concerned about non-existent momentum , like clutch hitting , so I would sit Bregman, Story, Narvaez and even Duran today and tomorrow, perhaps with a PH AB each day if the lineup cycles correctly. Play Eaton, Hamilton, Wong , Sogard and Refsnyder . They could use the ABs . And Wilson can pitch 3 innings out of the pen to wear him out .
  9. The discussion on Cora a s a great, good or lousy manager is interesting, BUT he doesn't work with the pitchers in a vacuum. Andrew Bailey was brought in by Breslow to replace the clueless Dave Bush and i think Bailey deserves big props for working with this menagerie of oft injured pitchers to get mileage and production out of some marginal guys, like Bernardino and Weissert. The Sox success in 2025 is in large part to the BP work down the stretch and getting guys like Harrison and Early ready to start . Now if Andrew could do something with Justin Wilson........
  10. Fun to see the entire IL list get into the group picture
  11. Fred, your boy walked it off for the Not Flops. congrats
  12. I would have thought the OF would have been deep to prevent exactly what happened
  13. I think Cora has to go 2 innings with Whitlock. Don't burn Chapman in 9th
  14. Sox pitching allows runs in 2 of last 16+ innings and could lose both
  15. Another ball just short of top of wall This type of almost good is most frustrating.
