Uhh, Brock, i think they have won 2 in a row and are threatening their season high 3 win streak later tonight. Note that for the Sox , there is a huge difference between sweeping ( 3-0) and winning the series 2-1., a net gain of 1. An improvement no doubt, but a limited one. Sweep and reduce the deficit to .500 to 5 games., Lose and go back to 7 off a mediocre pace. Should they go on a run and climb back to .500 by Memorial Day, then something very good will have happened.

The problem wiith most of the FA's wasn't the player himself in 2026 or 27 but rather that big money was running out 4, 5 years or more when these same studs would be certifiable duds. -

Moran--moron, no clue. what was the difference to Bello's typical 37 pitches to get 3 outs. But he struckout the side. Terrible effort

Rafaela's 3 runner breaks a long tradition of no early scoring by Sox Moran quickly fits the mold of giving it back . Needs to get a couple more outs asap

Nick, I think all are hoping for some magic on the field , mound and at bat that can put this team in motion. Just don't confuse a win with a steak or any momentum. There are a few gaping holes to get turned around including, can Brayan Bello pitch effectively in the face of even a little adversity . Can Durbin hit anything ? Is Roman Anthony made of porcelain ? When do Gray and Crochet return, and stay healthy. Lots to solve , but get it done tonight and that can be a start.

Of all the head cases on this team, Duran is the one who may most benefit from a defined and consistent role such as LF-Leadoff. I don't think he is real flexible between CF, DH, up/down the batting order. Moving him around may seem like failure to Jarren . OTOH, he needs to produce and for more than a week . I think he imposes way too much mental pressure on him reminding me of Jimmy Piersall way back in the day.

Whitlock finds trouble with 2 outs, often with 2 trikes. He clearly is better than all but Chapman in the RS pen, but he is far from a closer type. Does what he can , mostly well but can be hit.. Uses a lot of pitches per his appearances.

Credit where it is due. Abreu picks up a run which undoubtedly will be needed with 9 outs to go.
