  1. The last couple games have been nice, bats are waking up
  2. Me neither, so far is not a good impression, let's see how he looks in the near future
  3. Bad luck for frazier, this was his chance to get the OF job
  4. New injury, now it's the hip
  5. Let's see, Hicks has a lot of talent but he needs to stay healthy to be productive, so far looks like he's been more time in the DL than playing since we acquired him
  6. Didi to the rescue
  7. We should start the over/under for Boone to be fired
  8. Damn He's doing a good job at it
  9. Let's see if we can hold on this one
  10. Ellsbury digs deeper in the DL now a hip injury I'm ready to call him the new 'American Idle"
  11. Better to get hit early in the DL than late in the season, this way the GMs have enough time to add pieces in case it's needed
  12. Unfortunately, it has been used a lot 4 games into the season, let's review which ones are in the list already: Frazier OF Ellsbury CF Bird 1B 6 - 8 weeks Hicks CF McKinney CF The OF depth being tested this early in the season
  13. Another down Aaron Hicks to the 10 days DL Billy McKinney up
  14. Aaron Hicks to the DL, another casualty of the jinx??
  15. Severino hitting 100MPH, he's in midseason form, also liked Betances even with the HR, he was in the zone too
  16. Stanton, Judge and Sanchez as expected Severino in good shape for Opening day
  17. Boomer good thing we have Walker to play first, also Billy McKinney and Tyler Austin
  18. Betts in 2B??? and loose all his defensive runs saved in RF?? Interesting
  19. I'm not worried at all about the Sanchino, he's the safest bet of all the young guys. Severino clicked last year, but his delivery has me worried, he's strong as an ox but you never know with the injuries. Judge is the hardest for me to predict, he's a smart and centered guy who has overcome every challenge he has faced so far, but the league will keep making adjustments on him, I hope he can adjust fast enough to keep a similar performance. Bird is in a "make or break" season, let's see if he can stay healthy for a full season, for him is not a matter of talent, if he's healthy he will produce, maybe the best pure hitter in our lineup. Stanton is not in the same pool of the rest of the guys but he's streaky as hell, if he's on, he might hit 10-15 HR in a month, if not he can suck really bad and not even get a good OBP; he's the wildcard in our lineup, if he performs, he will give the young guys the protection they need, they will try to pitch around him, it will be interesting how Boone will arrange the lineup. Today is nice test, he's placing Judge in the leadoff spot.
  20. Every team is one or two injuries away from falling off a cliff (Sorry about this expression, I know some people in the forum is very sensitive with the word "cliff". lol), Jack's post is more about depth than potential. For me the thing that I worry the most is what some people call "the sophomore slump", but is part of life in every young player.
  21. Great read, specially the remarks about Florial, I'm really looking forward for this kid, his job this season is to improve pitch recognition, if he does it, he will be a top 10 prospect before the end of the year.
  22. No argument with that, your team is better than the last two years, but the Yanks are MUCH better than the previous too, it will be a fight to the end
  23. Hopefully Dead weight
  24. IT will be a nice audition for Wade, any word on when Ellsbury is coming back?
