  1. The trade is centered around Alex Verdugo
  2. How long is going to take to finish this investigation? I hope it's finished before ST, I don't want to keep talking about for much longer
  3. I like them, but they are a notch bellow the ones on the list, I almost include them, specially Wagner, at the end I just left them out.
  4. BTW, I have no idea why Ted Williams has a number that low, I know that he was known for some jerky attitude towards the press, but that's no reason to not vote for him.
  5. Out of the list, the ones that deserved the 100% IMO are the following: 100 Mo 99.3 Griffey 98.8 Seaver 98.8 Ryan 98.5 Ripken 98.2 Cobb 97.8 Aaron 97.6 Gwynn 97.2 G Maddux 95.6 Carlton 95.1 Ruth 94.7 Mays 93.4 Williams 93.2 Musial 92.7 Clemente 92.0 B Robinson
  6. Derek Jeter 99.7% Larry Walker 76.6%
  7. The ballot in 2022 will be interesting, Bonds & Clemens might finally be in the HOF and the first year for Arod, with the way he has worked in his image over the last few years, I'm assuming he will be in the hall in less years than Bonds and Clemens
  8. Public Ballots: 204 Anonymous Ballots: 8 % of Ballots Known: 51.5% "Last Updated: 1/21/2020 at 07:00 PST" Derek Jeter 100.0% Larry Walker 83.5% Curt Schilling 78.8% Barry Bonds 71.7% Roger Clemens 70.8% At this pace, even Schilling will be out of the hall for one more year
  9. Exactly, no different than other ways of cheating, who was first? we'll never know
  10. Public Ballots: 149 Anonymous Ballots: 7 % of Ballots Known: 37.9% "Last Updated: 1/16/2020 at 13:20 PST" Derek Jeter 100.0% Larry Walker 85.3% Curt Schilling 80.1% Barry Bonds 74.4% Roger Clemens 73.1% Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens falling in the ballots
  11. They need to investigate further, if the Yankees or any other team benefited from this, they have to pay the price. It's looking more and more that many teams were doing the same crap. If the commissioner is serious about this, he needs to investigate this matter all the way. My guess, is that the MLB stops at the Red Sox, unless some players who was/is with the Yankees or any other team comes forward and blows the whistle on them, I don't think anonymous sources will be enough.
  12. If the MLB punishes the Sox with something similar to the lost draft picks the Astros got, then you'll have no choice than to deal Erod, the one you try to extend is Devers. With low draft picks in consecutive years, the only other way to get good prospects would be thru trades, if not, the "rebuild" would be longer
  13. The problem with Eovaldi has never been the talent, if he's healthy for a full season he has the tools to be a top 5 in the Cy young voting. The problem again is health; in my opinion he should be converted to the BP full time, he might become the best RP in the league. He has a closer salary, he might be one of the best (if not the best) in that role.
  14. I understand your point, most organizations will cut ties with Beltran, I have my doubts that the Mets will. Talking about technology, I don't really like the implementation of a lot of it, but it would be wrong not to recognize the the world has changed, most things in regular life are controlled by technology now, something needs to be done; the league needs to jump ahead of this and incorporate new things to some degree, how many? I don't know; somebody suggested the use of headsets between manager (or pitching coach), pitcher and catcher. It looks like a good starting point.
  15. I wrote this before, sign stealing and the use of electronics device is a league wide practice, same as PEDs in the 90's. Whoever thinks their team is/was clean on those matters are delusional. The question is to what degree they were using the electronic devices? and then the league can decide if it's "illegal" or not.
  16. I know, but that organization might be the worst in MLB, strange things happen there; I'd be very surprised if they let him go before the start of the season
  17. You don't know the Mets
  18. I agree, the Yankees will be selling low in all three if they trade them away this offseason (specially Cessa and Holder). There are things that you can be sure are coming, Death, taxes and injuries
  19. That's probably a good idea lol
  20. Holder and Cessa don't belong in the same group with Tarpley, these two had some level of success in the past few season, I'm willing to bet that Cessa will take a step up this season as one of the most reliable arms in the Yankees BP, Holder has still some injury concerns, Tarpley is just a guy who is just potential and no results for a couple years now
  21. Make the the home team pays for the "clubhouse cop", with full access to the team installations and managed directly by the commissioners office and ask them to sign a non disclosure agreement to avoid any leak on legal team practices
  22. They said that players will not be punished, Beltran was a player back in 2017
  23. Luhnow throws Cora under the bus: "the video decoding of signs originated and was executed by lower-level employees working with the bench coach."
  24. Any team who cheated this way should be praying there's no whistle blower
