  1. I don't think anyone has said such. All 3 teams are playing good ball right now, and whoever can sustain it the longest will be the one to pull away. Of course my money is on the Yankees being that team, but things can change quickly. We shall see.
  2. Also yesterday's game's umpire rating is below. Based on all three of these the Yankees got the worse calls in every game this series. https://twitter.com/UmpScorecards/status/1396849300697661445/photo/1
  3. Sure we'll see. Also for anyone who thinks a game is umped unfairly, this independent twitter account grades the umpire's accuracy for every MLB game: They have not released yesterday's game ratings yet but here are the first two: https://twitter.com/UmpScorecards/status/1396515669613682691/photo/1 (the Cease game you referred to) https://twitter.com/UmpScorecards/status/1396118697249542147/photo/1
  4. The Yankees lead the league in GIDPs this season. So who is unlucky? And the half inning before the triple play the Yankees had two men on and one out, and Voit hit a 107MPH rocket right at the third baseman for a double play. Does that not count as unlucky? You choose to see what you want to see.
  5. That is pretty terrible. Annoying Rays are annoying.
  6. True, and I think the Yankees are 1-6 in games this season when going for the sweep.
  7. Lol were you only watching the White Sox bat? Ump was calling strikes on pitches 6 inches off the plate for both sides. So yes inconsistent, but not one sided. You're starting to sound a little concerned though. Do the White Sox suck now since the Yanks are beating them up?
  8. Pretty crazy game. Rodon and Montgomery combine for 13 innings, 0 runs, 6 hits, 0 walks, and 24 Ks. Yanks fail to score in the bottom of the 8th with 1st and 3rd nobody out (another out on the bases and double play wtf!). Very deflating, then Chapman lets the first two runners on in the 9th so it's starting to feel a little hopeless. But a triple play (can't remember the last one I saw the Yankees turn) gets them out of the inning, and spirits are elated again. Then the walk off in the bottom half seals it. Exhausting game, but very memorable
  9. Pitching has been good but everything else has been trash. On offense seems like the majority of their contact is either on the ground or pop-ups. They made 3 outs on the bases today and hit into two more double plays. They lead the league in outs on the basepaths (20) and are currently on pace to hit into 173 DPs this season (which would tie the all time record I believe).
  10. Ah so then I'm facing you this week. I thought my team was looking pretty good yesterday afternoon until they went 3 for 30 at the plate and then got a no-hitter thrown against us.
  11. Health has been an issue for Trout the past several years. There's no question what he can do when he's playing, but he hasn't played a full season since 2016.
  12. Houston had won 8 of their last 11 when they played the Yankees. The Rays had won 6 of their last 8 when they played the Yankees. Your feelings about the Yankees don't change reality. For as good as Boston has played and as poorly as the Yankees have played, the Sox are only one game up on them.
  13. Initial report is that it was just a cramp. So he'll probably be out until July.
  14. Seems like most of the teams that were predicted to finish near the top this season are performing worse than expectations. Still the Yankees have managed to stay over .500 while playing pretty bad baseball. And only two teams have won at least 60% of their games so far (which translates to about 97 wins in a full season), so it's not like anyone is running away from the rest of the league. The White Sox were expected to be good but not great. They have a .625 winning %, but that's inflated by going 12-4 against the mighty Tigers/Royals/Twins. The Giants have a .610% but who knows if that's sustainable. I'm pretty sure this was a rebuild year for them, but admittedly I have not watched any of their games so I can't comment much on them.
  15. Just keeping it warm for Boston 😁
  16. Possibly, but this has happened basically every year for the past 10 or so years (starting with Teixeira's "minor leg bruise" that turned out to be a fractured leg). Everything is considered a minor injury until it isn't.
  17. Funny how it went from "just a day off to get him off his feet", to "just a minor pull that we want to get ahead of", to several missed games and now on the IL. Are other teams this poor (or maybe dishonest?) with their injury diagnoses or is it just a Yankees thing?
  18. I proposed this trade to you in the league.
  19. I don't think it would've mattered since I had already won ERA, WHIP, and Ks. But one would've expected Mongomery to pitch better and deeper into a game against the O's. The one that hurt was Dylan Cease getting pulled after 5 and 2/3 innings yesterday even though he was only at like 80 something pitches and had only allowed 1 run. That quality start would've at least gotten me a tie for the week. Oh well, nice win. Your pitching almost came back against me as well.
  20. I'll take him off your hands. How about Ohtani (pitcher) for him?
  21. How come nobody, including yourself, has picked up Pivetta in our fantasy league? If he's so great I would think a league full of Sox fans would want him. Or maybe nobody is buying in to his good start.
  22. Wheels came off for Kluber that inning. Not sure how he went from dotting the corners batter after batter to having no clue where the ball is going in the span of one batter.
  23. Doesn't look like I'm coming back in any offensive categories anyway, my guys are hitting like the Yankees. So hope Judge hits two more. I'm hoping someone on my team can get a steal though, guess it's hard when nobody gets on base.
  24. Teixiera had that injury twice in his career. Once he had to get season ending surgery, the other he missed three games and finished second in MVP voting. Depends on the severity.
