  1. Bahaha okay you got me, I say congrats but deep down I'm thinking **** all these Sox fans and I hope your team gets eviscerated next round.
  2. I know it's not over until it's over, but I think I'd prefer to get 8 hours of sleep tonight. Congrats to your team, they were much better than the Yanks today.
  3. Well that's likely a wrap.
  4. Green either gives up 3 or 0 runs here.
  5. That was a meatball of a hanging slider that Gio fouled off right before striking out. Besides the solo HR the Yanks offense hasn't been able to do anything with mistake pitches besides foul em off.
  6. Boone one batter too late. Always trying to squeeze extra outs out of pitchers no matter the circumstance
  7. I wasn't alive yet. I do enjoy the clip of it, but it's lost its effect after the 18th time ESPN showed it.
  8. I would go with Cash. He always seems to get the most out of his teams and maximizes the strengths of everyone on his roster. Plus I don't think they would allow Cora to win so soon after coming back from suspension, regardless of if he deserves it.
  9. This is going to be super stressful. To either knock out or be knocked out of the playoffs by your worst enemy, elation or despair, good (Yankees of course ) vs. evil.
  10. He managed with urgency which was refreshing, but in any case the offense needs to get going for them to have a chance. Being shutout by 5+ERA Michael Wacha (and every subsequent reliever until the 9th) in the biggest game of the year is a failure by the offense, and while everyone in relief on our end held up it's too much to ask of them to be perfect every game.
  11. That was impressive. Hate to say it but Devers is one of the best players in baseball.
  12. Gallo was hit on the wrist with a pitch last night too so if he misses any amount of time then that would be a double blow, with Voit also not being able to fill in (assuming Stanton plays LF and Voit would've DH'd). What a s***** game last night.
  13. Disappointing game from Cole. Hope it wasn't a preview of what he will bring to the Wild Card game (if the Yanks make it).
  14. No limp on that one
  15. At least the Packers won Moon. That was an awesome ending.
  16. The thing is that Cortes isn't a true starter. More like a long reliever. Typically 80-90 pitches is his max. You could see he was tiring out that inning and missing location.
  17. Being forced to root for the Rays AND Mets is torture.
  18. Nice to see Severino finally make it back to the bigs, it's been a long road for him. The odds of the Yankees both making it to the wild card game and then winning it aren't too favorable, BUT if they are able to advance then their rotation and bullpen should be setup well (assuming no new injuries or setbacks). The only two starters on the Yanks who I'd have be actual starters in the POs (meaning that they'd go through the order more than twice) are Cole and Montgomery. I'd then have Kluber/Taillon/Cortes/German as 3 inning pitchers and have them piggyback off each other. Adding Severino and King to the bullpen gives them two more high leverage/multi-inning options. Now all they have to do is win these next 10 games
  19. He got off to a terrible start but has been better lately: Last 2 weeks: .244/.348/.756
  20. Yanks were lucky to win the series. Their offense is punchless when it counts, as evidenced by 13 baserunners but only 2 runs, as well as getting shutout the final 8 innings of the game by a bunch of scrubs. The Blue Jays scored like 40 runs against these guys just last week.
  21. Regardless of how much we're sucking we can always count on the twins to suck worse.
  22. At least he only walked one guy this time
  23. Funnily enough they lead the AL with the lowest team ERA. Don't think that'll last though.
  24. Even when the Yankees were looking bad early in the year, they didn't look THIS bad. I guess it's just an instant correction of that 13 game winning streak.
