  1. NYC leads the nation in twin killings.
  2. On a side note I think that shopping cart thing after a HR is pretty dumb to do when your team is still trailing by 3 in the ninth. I think Renfroe felt the same way because he didn't see too thrilled with the ride.
  3. Exactly like I planned
  4. What about the 4th option? Season gets cancelled because of new COVID Alpha variant.
  5. Twins have actually been good lately. In their last 3 series they played against Tampa, ChiSox, and Houston and went 7-3, winning each series.
  6. I would be satisfied if Heaney gives us 5 innings and gives up no more than 4 runs. He sucks so badly that it would be unreasonable to ask for more.
  7. Was supposed to be off the plate. Just missed his spot. Pretty bad pitch on 0-2 (or really any count).
  8. Yes. Yankees are first, everyone else is last. Red Sox are 31st.

  10. My team has sucked majorly. It was all downhill for me starting at Round 12 of the draft when I found out the Ohtani that I drafted was only the pitcher version.
  11. I also like cherry picked stats. With the Yankees, Joey Gallo's slash line is .333/.535/.867 in plate appearances where he does not strike out.
  12. Could've been our best win of the year. Instead only like our 5th worst blown game of the year. Other teams will sure have plenty of highlights this season featuring the Yankees. Britton has been shaky all year so I don't know why he was Boone's first choice to close. Makes no sense unless Loaisiga/Green were unavailable. Burn down the corn fields.
  13. Can't wait for Heaney to be relegated to the bullpen. Hopefully this is his last start.
  14. Yes yankees are super lucky. Here's their current IL: SP: Cole SP: Kluber SP: Severino SP: Montgomery SP: German SP: Schmidt RP: Chapman RP: O'Day RP: Mike King C: Sanchez 1B: Rizzo 1B: Gittens 2B: Torres 3B: Urshela OF: Hicks OF: Frazier OF: Andujar OF: Locastro OF: Amburgey Almost a full team. And a pretty good one at that. I think this speaks to the depth of the team, that they can still play competitively despite this insane IL list.
  15. 0-10 with RISP. Very winnable game, just couldn't get a hit when it mattered.
  16. Perfect timing I guess. Also I'm pretty sure Rizzo was openly against the COVID vaccine.
  17. Yeah but Heaney's fastball RPM is over 9000!
  18. It was barely a fair ball down the right field line, so would've been in the 10th row at Fenway ;]
  19. Gil was a COVID replacement for Cole, so not sure he could've technically stayed. They can still call him up in a regular move without the 10 day waiting period I believe.
  20. 3 starters lost in 3 days. Funny how quickly depth dries up. Would be nice if the offense started hitting to carry the team, since the starting pitching has been carrying the offense for months.
  21. It's like a home run derby. Dude is just tossing meatballs over the middle of the plate.
  22. If the Yanks and Sox do face in the playoffs then I pray that they bring in Ottavino in a big situation. For us he imploded in just about every playoff appearance and eventually was unusable.
  23. Vizcaino is more likely to end up in the bullpen, but has closer stuff with a highly rated fastball and a changeup that is rated as elite. Alacantra could end up being good, but is still a few years away from the bigs. All in all not a lot to get Rizzo and have them eat his contract.
  24. I'm curious who they had to give up. He's just a rental so hopefully not a ton, but I guess this means Voit is gone.
  25. Cole pitched better than his line would suggest, but overall he wasn't sharp. The only pitch he had working today was his fastball. Offense had chances early but didn't capitalize, and then just went to sleep for the rest of the game. Abreu (who was pitching in a spot where we would normally see Cessa) completely shat himself (0 outs recorded, 6 ER, 4 hits (3 of which were HRs), 2 BBs). Weird stat, the Yankees have a .385 winning % during the day and a .623 winning % at night. And they also continue their ineptness when trying to finish a sweep.
