If you don't think being injury prone is not part of Refs consideration for retirement, you are an idiot. You think guys retire because they don't want to play anymore? Why wouldn't they want to play anymore? Probably because they are not physically keeping up with their skill set of younger years. Are you really comparing Story's injuries to Refsnyder? Outfielder Rob Refsnyder was out of the lineup Monday after slamming into the Chase Field turf on a diving catch attempt late in Sunday’s win. It's really time for Refs to retire after the season. One dive and he's hurt. Love his bat but he keeps taking up valuable spot on the roster. Hell I don't think Bregman is 100%.

1st out of playoff race is Texas, 5 games back of the Sox. Texas hosts Brewers next, Hopefully the Brewers will slow down the Texans. Then they travel to Mets and Houston..

Again, our lackadaisical approach at the trade deadline cost us again. When will we learn? The last report I heard was that we waited TOO LONG TO APPROACH THE TWINS. They were no longer interested in moving Joe Ryan. The pieces involved were not far apart. Just get the damn deals done Bres. Have balls, cover all weaknesses. I would be surprised if we make the playoffs. Every starter is out of gas. Bregman can't carry this team alone. Love seeing Yoshida batting lead off. Maybe he can pitch too.

Looks like Bregman is ready to test the FA market. Story more than likely will stay put. I doubt too many teams want to gamble on his health. He's set to make $23M over next two years. How much more can he get? By the time that contract is over, Arias should be ready. He just got promoted to AA. For less money, just go sign Schwarber. Future? Arias at short, Mayer at 3B. We still need a 2B man. I think we'll revisit the Joe Ryan trade when there's more time to negotiate.
