  1. Set back for Gonzalez in his rehab.....what the hell is wrong with Red Sox athletes? How is Sandoval doing? Did you mean he may comeback September 2026? How many executives do we have? What exactly do they do?
  2. Jesus Moon, we have three freakin' catchers. They can fill in at DH. Why bring up bunch of no names. Hell move up Arias. Our combined SS OPS is .599. How do YOU know he can't play. And I don't give a damn what anyone in this organization says. They have NO talent for judging talent. Yoshida has no future. I'm not trying to save money by dropping him. I'm trying to give his bats to someone else.
  3. My GM would not survive the ineptitude this team has displayed offensively. 14/15 over all OPS 15th 2B .588 15th 3B .604 14th SS .599 12th DH .636 10th LF .697 7th C .661 6th CF .742 Rafaela 4th RF .775 Abreu 3rd 1B .921 Conteras We are really bad....Why are we hanging on to Yoshida. Give someone else a chance. We just need to move on. We are paddling upstream.
  4. Got to say it. How different this team would look with Crochet starting and Anthony not hurt. I'm just getting very frustrated with the Anthony situation. Does he swing too hard beyond his physical limits? Is that why he gets hurt and will he be susceptible to that type of injury going forward? It can happen at anytime with just one swing? I'm tired of hearing about his potential. Can we just get some players that can stay in the game for entire season? I have no doubt we'd only be couple of game out of the wild card with the two in the lineup.
  5. Big No....are you nuts? He's earning his paycheck unlike others. (to the original poster) MLB.com has both Gray and Duran in their top 9 trading targets. Throw in Chapman too. Someone should take all three.
  6. Only way to appease the disgruntled fanbase is to play our young guys. I really don't give a damn how bad we finish, makes no difference to me if we're current 13.5 games back or 25 games back. We suck. Why do we waste playing opportunity on Yoshida? For that matter, Story when he comes back? Are they going to play key roles in 2027? I definitely wouldn't count on it. I don't want to watch them. We at least have Tolle and Early to go with veterans Crochet and Suarez. We can get Sonny Gray back for $30M, probably too much money for JH. It would be great if we can get an almost ready starting arm for say Chapman and Sonny Gray. Those two would be very valuable for a team trying to 'go for it' I would also love to see Arias in September if not earlier? What's the damage? I assume he has major league skills to play short. He's not burning a team controlled service time at this point. Give us a peek at his potential. We have nothing to lose. I rather find out that a player is overrated sooner rather than later. Mr. Ivy leaguer Bres, please don't insult my intelligence by making several nonsense lateral moves. And quit signing injured players. Whatever happened to he may return in September 2025 Patrick Sandoval? Another freaking $18.5M thrown away by Breslow. I'd rather you placed the bet on the 'red' at the Roulette table. God, we suck.
  7. It's mutual UNLESS Chapman reaches 40 innings....that's what I've seen in Cot's and also on an article on MassLive.....confusing
  8. Can someone clear up Chapman’s contract? Assuming he reaches magic 40 innings pitched does his 2027 contract become team obligation? clear this up for me. If the goal is to win despite 2026 not being a possibility why would Sox want to get rid him for 2027?
  9. I believe Whitlock will be activated for tomorrow night's game.
  10. Brannon is a right-handed power prospect who stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 245 pounds. He belted a 464ft bomb. Soxprospects has him listed at 210lb. (#33 Prospect for the Sox) Anyone know his weight? (1.039 OPS, 9 homers, 8 doubles at Portland) The Red Sox drafted Brannon in the ninth round (No. 279 overall) out of Randleman High in North Carolina in 2022, then signed him to a well-above slot value bonus of $712,500. The second highest ninth round bonus that year was $390,000 lower. He received the second-highest bonus among all picks in rounds 5-9 that year.
  11. Add a bat but decimate the pen? Is that really helping the team?
  12. We got Abreu for Vazquez rental. What can we get for Chapman?
  13. I watch 10 minute recap of Sox games on YouTube. That enough for me this year.
  14. Big win and we didn't get to the Page 3. Mr. Henry, that says everything you need to know about what the fans think of your product.
  15. If every GM feels the same way as you do, why would they give us anything in return? Do you have better options for 2027 at the same price? Name him.
  16. Chapman has a mutual contract for 2027 at $13M. It becomes a guarantee if he pitches 40 innings (now at 17+ innings). Obviously he could turn it down but I'm not sure if anyone will give him a better deal. And I think he likes to pitch for Boston (not sure why). It would seem silly to me to trade Chapman unless we go on a full fledge rebuild mode. Why would we trade away an important piece that will bring us success? I doubt if we will get an every day player for Chapman. Then not having a closer on an otherwise good team will become a problem in 2027. By trading him, it signals to me that we are punting 2027 season along with this year. So we go from going all in for 2026 to rebuilding in 2027? That makes no sense. Crochet has a contract through 2031 but he has an option to leave after 2030 if he does not spend more than 120 days on IL. On the other hand, if he does spend more than 120 days on IL, he is contracted to play for Red Sox at $15M in 2032. At minimum he is with us for 4 years after 2026. To me, that's our window of opportunity. Can't keep punting the ball Mr. Breslow. Also, you may want to reevaluate what it means for a team to go 'all in'.
  17. And a closer on a good team has more value to that team than a closer on a mediocre team, such as the Red Sox. So the 'trading value' for Chapman should be off the charts. The Dodgers will pay more for Chapman than say the Giants.
  18. I've been consistent over the years about the prospects. It's better to know early than later. Great players will persevere.
