  1. Exactly. No Connor Wong. And I still say they should have kept Graterol…
  2. Walk up song suggestions?
  3. But that doesn’t mean Wong was “highly regarded” as opposed to “the best they could get”…
  4. Hey I’m not trying one who said Wong was so highly regarded they dealt a Hall of Famer to get him. That position might be more supported if Wong was actually in the first (and much better) version of that trade…
  5. It’s doubtful the Sox will continue the most recent pace of both their ineptitude against the AL East nor dominance of everyone else. Certainly if they continue only one pace, the ineptitude one is a lot easier…
  6. . So you’re saying the entire point was to get Wong? And not that Wong just happened to be determined to be acceptable in the final iteration of a trade that was essentially a salary dump?
  7. I know. Shocking news…
  8. Why? Did they take Sale bike riding and break Story’s finger?
  9. And maybe a Tampa uniform?
  10. Can I just write “Ort” on 39 slips of paper?
  11. Actually it turns out Andre the Robot was really a giant Bigfoot…
  12. Is Dalbec really all that much of a safety net?
  13. I think it officially kills something that had a minimal chance. Like when Steve Austin killed the last Bigfoot..
  14. And Bloom must have serious faith in former Tampa draftee Mills since he traded a non-40 man player to get him. Granted, he only had to DFA Hosmer to squeeze him onto the roster…
  15. The Sox also have a freebie add to the 40 man roster once Story goes on the 60 day IL. Candidates include Tapia, Allen, Crook, Diaz and Alfaro. At least that’s who I think the candidates are…
  16. And if German is truly not worthy of a 40 man roster spot, it’s safe to assume that he was not worthy of one in December when he was protected over Thad Ward…
  17. On BTV, Dalbec has as much value as German and Duran has significantly more. While the Sox do need an entire 40 man roster, it still needs to be pitcher-heavy, especially early on. Even you have called Duran DFA material. If he is not worthy of a 40 man spot, does it matter who replaces him as long as that player is worthy?
  18. Yoshida?
  19. But also only 4IP. At some point, the untried younger pitchers with track records of minor league success should be considered over players with track records full major league question marks like Dalbec or Duran…
  20. If the Sox did sign him, would they DFA Mata?
  21. Yeah but I was surprised at the lack of Kales.
  22. My current dog, Blue, was named Caleb by the shelter we adopted him from. He was one of 12 puppies in the litter, all with “C” names. All lab mutts mistakenly labeled “miniature pinscher” by the shelter. He’s the friendliest dog ever, often described as “friendly to dangerous levels” and completely useless for home protection. He’s closer to “greeter” than “watchdog” should anyone ever break in. His only hope at home protection is keeping the would-be burglar occupied in play time until the police arrived…
  23. Maybe DD had to talk Harrison up to $2mill…
  24. Surprisingly, according to B-R, there has never been a major leaguer named “Kale.” Nor one named “Romaine” nor any other green leafy. Closest I could find was former Twins 3b Mike Cubbage…
  25. Nope. And yet we get accused of supporting Bloom’s every move by people who find even the notion of saying “Dombrowski had far more opportunities to extend Betts” as sacrilegious and worthy of excommunication…
