Henry might have been cheap but the team is scoring more than they are allowing, which is normally a winning formula. If Breslow had spent more money to retain Alex Bregman, would he have done a good job? If only the Sox had Bregman’s OPS+ of 95 instead of suffering through Caleb Durbin and his paltry OPS+ of 91…

They’re all blown saves because they all occurred in save sutuations, which means protecting a lead of 3 runs or less while someone else is in line for the win. Thats the criteria; no mention of inning. You cannot assume that the pitcher is going to be removed from the game, so he is on line for the save, and therefore the blown save. Once he is removed, then snd only then does the hold come in to play…
