  1. The Phillies list 2 of 3 to the A’s last week, including one game by a score of 18-3. Should the Phillies sell?
  2. Coming from the guy who holds people to them…
  3. I questioned that at the time, but I think it might have been because Kenley wasn’t going to travel to Colorado anyway so he was going to get 3 days off…
  4. Why not let Chase Anderson finish? WTF is wrong with Cora? Why are is he using relied-upon bullpen arms in a 20-3 game? Is he planning on using Anderson for lots of mop up work against New York?
  5. Apparently
  6. Plan C is Rengifo. My recommendation for Plan C is DeJong…
  7. Cora didn’t have very many options for SS. He has Rafaela, Hamilton, and maybe Romy Gonzalez. All things considered, Rafaela is the best choice there. But there’s a decent chance this is one position the Sox do upgrade at over the next week…
  8. It means we want him on that wall! We need him on that wall! Plan B right now is Hamilton…
  9. Well, the problem is anyone else on this roster would probably be much worse…
  10. Notin has made that exact point multiple times…
  11. It’s 4.109 below maximum!!
  12. Good thing, otherwise they might die from dysentery…
  13. I like the idea of Abreu and Yorke for Fedde and reliever (Brebbia?)
  14. Unless the Sox get a dance partner, this can only be done internally or via the DFA/waiver process…
  15. Not so sure. I think he could bring back Erik Fedde. BTV thinks so, too. Of course the only opinion that matters is Chris Getz, who gives us no real track record or anything and won’t return my calls…
  16. He’s not going to bring back a Cy Young caliber pitcher, but Abreu absolutely has value…
  17. Might as well say the Price signing. In 2015 put us over the 2022 tax limit…
  18. They also had plenty of time to rectify that, but chose not to for some reason...
  19. It’s out there. Therefore, it’s technically a rumor…
  20. 1. I do the rumored Paxton/Paez trade. 2. If the White Sox do a suggested Abreu/Fedde swap, even better. 3. Apparently Rengifo (and not DeJong) is the top infield target. BTV gives Rengifo a surplus value of 10.9, which suggests Bleis (13.1) as a fair comp…
  21. Oh it definitely is…
  22. Yahoo recently listed 3 players the Sox have been linked to and, spoiler alert, nothing new. The players are Paxton, Taillon and Rengifo. The inclusion of Taillon is confusing since Hoyer was recently quoted as saying the Cubs goal is “2025 and beyond”, and with Taillon under team control through 2026, he should be part of that, especially considering pitching is the top 9 items and Hoyer’s top ten needs list. And item 10 is only slightly different, reading “and more pitching”. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/three-players-linked-red-sox-134055210.html
  23. Isn’t Fansided just a fan blogging site? Not that the Yahoo grades have proven any better…
  24. Exactly, which to me defeats the purpose of the initial grade…
  25. Stories of disgruntlement from remaining players on selling teams are ubiquitous throughout MLB history. Do you know how pissed the remaining Red Sox were all through the 1920s as they literally watched teammate after teammate reconvene in New York and proceed to dominate the sport?
