  1. The 1-0 miss by the ump may have changed that at bat.
  2. Yup, hasn’t been here since the 6th inning, when he explained about the A bullpen crew.
  3. I don’t want to think about what he’d be replaced with though.
  4. Odds of somebody dinking one off the Pesky Pole in the top of the 9th?
  5. There’s a lot to praise about the Yankees right now. That being said, they’ve been downright neutral compared to Costas’ performance in Thursday night on MLB network. I thought he was going to fellate half the Yankee team. Verducci tried to keep it balanced but Costas never shut up.
  6. Brasier got smacked around, but could have been out it unscored on with a competent center fielder.
  7. Middle of the Yankee lineup and need to keep it at one run. He can go multiple innings if need be.
  8. Greatest hitter? Yes. Greatest player? No. No speed and a very indifferent defender.
  9. Winckowski got hit and maybe Crawford will too, but they at least they don’t look scared. Can’t say the same for Seabold.
  10. I did that once in a Little League All-Star game. Pitch came in on me; somebody yelled out of the stands hit him. I nailed the next pitch off the pitchers foot for a base hit.
  11. That’s probably not going to affect him this inning; be interesting to see what sitting between innings will do.
  12. Kike has 24; he's hit leadoff the majority of the games he's played in this year, and he hasn't played in a month. JD's and Bogaerts RBI stats this season are very troubling, and even moreso when you consider that since the All-Star Game last July (155 games or about a week shy of a full season), JD has hit 18 homers and has 71 RBIs while Bogaerts has 15 and 63.
  13. Just a general comment; don’t feed the trolls.
  14. The talk is maybe signing him for a year next season, especially with Casas seemingly looking at a lost season with the injury.
  15. He (and everyone else) knew what you meant.
  16. Since the ASG last year: JD has 18 homers and 71 RBIs Bogey has 15 and 62. Those are not numbers that are going to get you large contracts.
  17. Unfortunately, when a team is scuffling, that seems to happen a lot. Verdugo’s had 2 of them tonight, with the ss in two different places.
  18. Sox seem to have hitting right at the shift perfected.
  19. He’s been pitching very well lately.
  20. Peralta will face him; Devers is 0-6 with 2 Ks against him. Boone should like the match up. Doesn’t mean it will work, but it’s at least defensible.
  21. And really hasn’t looked competitive in any of his ABs.
  22. “Out in right field. It’s important you know. You’ve got to know how to catch, you’ve got to know how to throw. That’s why I’m here in right field just watching the dandelions grow.” Peter, Paul and Mary
  23. You can take the outfielder out of center field but you can’t take the center fielder out of the outfielder? Sorry, best I could come up with.
