  1. Yoshida’s gone pull happy again. Needs to think left field
  2. Not sure I like the choice of Pivetta here. Edit - got past Stanton
  3. In his last four starts, the Red Sox have scored 2 runs while Bello has been in the game. There was one start that they scored 8 runs after he left the game.
  4. Saved a DP though. They are plays you see a few times a year, but in back to back half innings?
  5. It’s at least the second time in the last couple weeks that Bello has given up a damaging hit off a base. There was one off 3rd recently that Devers was ready to field that went for a run scoring double.
  6. Bello has more weird s*** happen to him
  7. If I knew the answer to that . . .
  8. Followed by the Pavlovian response we've heard 1000 times over.
  9. You do realize Ted wrote that DURING the game as a tongue in cheek prediction of what Cora would say, right?
  10. Don’t look now, but Triston is back over the Mendoza line for the 2nd time this year.
  11. It ended up being a DP, but another stupid play by the Sox infield. Raffy either has to come home and get Kwan or go directly to first to get Ramirez. They easily could have gotten no one. Bad Guardians’ baserunning bailed them out.
  12. Not let, make Kluber finish.
  13. Well, barring a double play, Ramirez will get a chance at #4
  14. Don’t feed the trolls.
  15. He seldom posts in game threads until late; he starts watching games late and fast forwards until he catches up to live action. He also said this week he was on a trip to California so we would be spared his long winded posts most of the time (paraphrasing here, but that was the spirit of it).4
  16. Now below it? He reached .200 (exactly) for 1 day (after the May 28th game); he's been below it every game before that date and every game after that date.
  17. The radio guys (Will Flemming in particular) were not very succinct last night about the D. I believe the quote after the game ended was “infield defense is killing this team”. Comments during the error filled inning were not any less subtle.
  18. It was as ugly an inning defensively as you would ever want to see.
  19. Unlike the TV shills, the radio guys are not afraid to tell it like it is. They did not (and have not ) held back on criticizing the defense or anything else that needs critiquing.
  20. It’s an organizational thing; fundamentals have to be taught from day one in A ball. It’s been going on too long; it’s obvious they are not.
  21. It was Refsnyder in left today, but the rest of your post was spot on.
  22. Radio guys pegged it very well earlier in the broadcast; everyone is pressing and trying to do too much. Contrast that with the Rays, who are all relaxed because each player knows if I don't get it done, the next guy will.
  23. A very apt description of them, although Diaz is also a really good player.
