    Weird game. Arroyo pops it foul 2 feet further and Guerrero Jr. doesn’t make that catch; who knows what happens from there. Contrast with the first inning, Chapman fouls it 6 inches less, Cordero makes the catch and the 2 run double never happens. Heck, does the 6’4” Dalbec make that catch vs. the 6’3” Cordero. Plus how many ground ball hits can the Jays get?

    I didn’t read it until this morning. Got a few pages in and then remembered I have SG on ignore. Once I logged in, it cleared things up, but there were several pages where nothing appeared. Just have to remember to log in.

    Per the CBA, he does not get paid for any games in Toronto. Based on his $716K salary, he's giving up roughly $45K in salary due to his vaccination status. Houck also accrues no service time for those same games.

    Starting Monday (June 20), teams will be limited to 13 active pitchers. Red Sox are currently at 14. Who is going? My guesses are Robles either to the DL or DFAd, or Sawamura optioned.

    Most years the worst team in baseball will win about 1/3 of their games. That’s exactly where the A’s are at 21-42.

    They referenced the following on the telecast last night: Since they were swept by the White Sox Mother’s Day weekend, the Sox have gone 23-10. That’s a.697 percentage (112 win pace over a full season). They have lost 2 1/2 games in the standings as the Yanks have gone 26-8.

    Per Thunder's Game Thread, Houck is starting today. I'm assuming they want 1-2 innings out of him. Not the worst way to see if the every day other thing is possible. Hopefully, they aren't screwing with this kid too much.

    Nah. You had your shot on August 24, 1940 in the first game of a doubleheader against Detroit. Don't you remember? You went 2 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits with one K. For some reason, they never gave you another shot on the mound. Those were TW's actual MLB pitching stats.

    I looked back at his game logs; in his major league career, the fewest days of rest he's ever pitched on is 2. I'm thinking they want to see him on an every other day basis (1 day rest) a few times before trying back to back games. He's young and doing something he's never done before; that seems prudent. Today's going to need the pen; I'm guessing you'll see him today (assuming the Sox are ahead) and it will probably be for multiple innings.
