  1. Either way is defensible. Bad call by Diaz was the difference, not the IBB.
  2. I’m a little surprised Eovaldi didn’t rip Diaz a new one on the way off the mound.
  3. Disagree; he’s been hitting well this series.
  4. The left field side has not been as wide as the right field side.
  5. Could see that coming after Eovaldi didn’t gets the strike 3 call. But a bad pitch by Eovaldi.
  6. Exactly. This is the fewest runs they’ve scored in the series. O has missed some chances to add on; good Astros’ pitching has had something to do with that.
  7. Looked like Whitlock threw it right where Vaz had the target. Fastball may have been fine but not in that location.
  8. Terrible pitch and it was right where Vazquez had the target.
  9. I’m assuming Cora wants him for the 7th and 8th.
  10. He does have trouble hitting them and he’s been rung up twice on a pitch to the same area, and probably would have been again.
  11. Is it me or has Pivetta really slowed his pitch pace down from what he’s been doing? Although the need to throw down multiple signs even with no one on may be contributing to that.
  12. Early in the game, they flashed a stat that the Sox have scored 81% of their postseason runs on homers; that is not sustainable. We’ve seen this movie all season.
  13. Ground ball to normal shortstop would have done it.
  14. The worst umps also seem to have the quickest trigger. You can’t give a guy a reason to toss you. Walk away muttering if you have to, but complaining to his face is an invitation to an ejection.
  15. There’s a reason I have him on ignore.
  16. CB Bucknor on line 1. Joe West on line 2. Although West can be a good ump when he decides to be. He just doesn’t decide to be very often.
  17. Went back to a similar call in his first AB.
  18. He’s going to cool off at some point. No one can keep up the pace he’s been on. Just need someone else (or better , a couple of people) to pick up some of the slack.
  19. Pivetta not sharp. Astros seem to be stepping out a lot. Could that be affecting Nick?
