  1. Narragansett lager. With some of the funniest and often tasteless ads some 60-70 years ago.
  2. Guys. As has been said more than once. Just stop.
  3. That wad, I believe, is bubble gum and sunflower seeds. I doubt it affect his performance.
  4. Ha! Well I went with advance-stats metrics, and determined that Duran's 4 K's meant he had a minus xr1d83&*WAR today
  5. Maybe the reason so many RS opponents are over .500 is because they have played so many games against the RS?
  6. Left out Verdugo.
  7. Gosh. These guys were great as RS. I loved watching them (although maybe your face was too buried in stats to do that). Maybe I'm not a "true" fan. But I never want players I've been following and who have given me, as a spectator so much fun, to fail. And why you guys revel in that is really beyond me.
  8. Oh right. dWAR again. Essentially the quantification of the eye-test.
  9. You know, Luciano, a lot of us weren't happy about your approach to that C. Now we don't sing, mind you, but we listen to a lot of music, and we really think what you need to do is take on a lot more baritone roles.
  10. Besides, who needs Bogey. We have Storey. Well, sometimes we do, I mean, you know, when he's on the field.
  11. Ha ha! Yup. You had your shot!! But now? You have to live like the rest of us.
  12. He also had one of the greatest OF plays in RS history, running into the ball that hit the fence, an almost certain triple and somehow, deflecting it off his body into the bullpen for a ground rule double. That's the sort of thing like speed--you just can't teach it.
  13. Oh crap, which insufferable Kevin do we have tonight? Last night I got the Seattle feed which was fine. Tonight, I'm listening to Joe.
  14. In fairness to Dice-K, without him, there's no WS championship. So there's that.
  15. 100% agree. It's a pretty pass when one garrulous poster accuses another garrulous poster of not posting enough!
  16. Don't know who Middle is ... oh yes, Middlebrooks, of course. I think they're not as bad as the Kevins but why risk it? pretty much whenever I hear a voice telling me how it's better to swing at a good pitch than one off the plate and hit it fair rather than foul and how much fun it was to play back when, and and maybe Devers is like Ortiz but maybe not when you think about it and ... etc. etc. etc., I turn to Joe Castiglione; if anything interesting happens, I can check the delayed feed video.
  17. Wait. Did you just accuse someone who spends hours a day on a sports board of being shallow???
  18. The two Kevins are a total embarrassment.
  19. I heard the name Kevin and immediately turned to Joe C. I don't care that the sound and video aren't sinced. I just can't stand listening to these people. Do they let journalism students pinch hit?
  20. "Every single person"? Could you give at least one example, since you claim this applies to all of us?
  21. The time clock violations were (at least the ones I saw) called because Jansen started into his wind up (with plenty of time on the clock), before the batter was even close to being ready. They were really for 'quick-pitches', no?, not for taking too much time.
  22. Kike's glove isn't the problem! It's his throwing that's bad.
  23. (with some pity extended to their fans who have to live in that area). For me, it was the pompous, God-fearing, B-student high-school classmate who came from there along with his church-going predatory mom.
