    Right on the money about Wayne! Very much like those Giant-Flag folks in the NFL--Goodell, Jerry Jones, and many others--who never saw a square inch of camo or piece of stars-and-stripes bunting that didn't bring them to tears, but somehow avoided those situations (like the military) where they could actually wear the stuff.

    Somehow, with Kike and Valdez up the middle, I'm not really focussing on Yoshida's defense being a problem.

    I can still see, pre-Lynn, Gary Geiger at full speed do a header into that bullpen wall. Horrifying. Even as a kid, I was surprised there were no pads.

    Just wondering if anyone thinks Casas gets the entire season to prove himself. He got a bit better once he started to swing the bat; but having done that, we can see why he so often went to the plate looking for a walk.

    Looks like Duran took Casas' advice. (But SS is right: that first pitch was a foot outside. Not sure what the ump thought he saw there.)

    The vets you know must have had better experiences with VA hospitals than my friends have. Also, there's hardly need for special social services for vets in many other countries, because they already have universal health care.

    I am always stunned by how much Youk can talk without saying anything.

    What an entitled a-hole that fan is. That's Dugo's bat, not a party favor. (Like the kid whose a-hole parents wouldn't let him give ... was it Yoshida's first HR?)

    Youk is absolutely the worst announcer ever. It's like listening to a relative who talks constantly but says nothing: "the sun is out did you know it's lighter during the day than at night? except when there are clouds, but of course clouds are different from dark but then if it's warm did you buy groceries today? I like poodles .." As usual, I am listening to Joe even though the video is delayed.
