  1. So it does make sense.
  2. Gotta be something a little better than that, I think...it has to properly convey the desperation fustercluck that's going on...
  3. The Rays have a Pitching Staff by Committee.
  4. And moon is the right guy LOL
  5. Robles saved the previous game, OTOH. Different night, different results.
  6. But you seem to work less when the Yankees are good and/or we're bad.
  7. moonslav and iortiz, you two are setting new standards for stubbornness and tirelessness!
  8. So what term should we use instead of Closer by Committee? (Committee rhymes with s*****, so that was the first place my mind went...)
  9. Thanks for your common sense, Max.

  13. He's real good at that.
  14. So a Hallowe'en pumpkin.
  15. I like the floor, but the $180 mill first tax line sounds like a step backward. I'll be surprised if that comes to fruition. But maybe the structure will be very different from the previous one all around.
  16. The team is still trying hard, at least.
  17. Not commenting on that, just on the save pct. stat.
  18. Over the long haul, though, save pct. is a decent stat. I'd say the gold standard is 90%.
  19. Well, there is a pretty fine line between choking and losing confidence. I don't think it's a stretch to say his confidence might be shot right now.
  20. Sorry, I just meant the team's performance is unaffected by it.
  21. Well, it matters to your personal enjoyment.
  22. There is no profile, but as you pointed out, Robles has significant experience at the position, which helps.
  23. The good news is, it doesn't matter how any of us feel.
  24. At this point he's a starter who consistently gives between 4 and 5 good innings. Which is valuable, but not ideal, because it leaves a lot for the pen to cover every game.
