  1. Right you are. Why do you think Verdugo didn't start last night? I was surprised to see him not start 2 games in a row, even against lefty starters.
  2. Verdugo has not started the last 3 games. Which suggests to me that Cora is placing a higher priority on defense.
  3. Richards - Bloom might decline the team option and then try to sign him for less, like he did with Perez?
  4. Your pitching staff is in awful shape though. Britton out for season, Loaisiga out, Chapman a shell of his old self. Taillon out. Kluber not 100% back. Severino not coming back. Monty dreadful last night. Gil dreadful last start. Heaney dreadful every time LOL
  5. You liked that signing, except for the 4th year, correct?
  6. Do you even have a baseball team, STORK? Or do you just go around trolling fan sites to get yer jollies?
  7. Holy Dripping Sarcasm, Batman.
  8. Right. Even so, it's a little unusual for a hitter with Verdugo's numbers to sit two games in a row. It suggests they may be prioritizing defense a little more.
  9. Second game in a row Verdugo not in starting lineup. Mean anything?
  10. I know, right? As the young folk say.
  11. It's going to be tough to outbid the Dodgers for Scherzer.
  12. The Jays sure are hot right now. 3 game sweep of A's followed by 4 game sweep in the Stadium in which the Yankees did not have a single lead...
  13. Now that is cold.
  14. The question of whether they would have won without Peavy is academic. It was a necessary move at the time.
  15. Exactly. If they keep Schwarber, someone has to go - Duran or Verdugo.
  16. The Jays have by far the best run differential of all the Wild Card contenders. Also, they have actually allowed fewer runs than the Rays.
  17. The Yankees are in the worst shape of anyone right now. Half their pitching staff is out of action.
  18. It's just that his posts are a lot shorter when the Yankees are sucking. When they're going good you get essays.
  19. And you can't trade Dalbec. For the second year in a row, he is having a stretch where he looks like one of the best power hitters in the game.
  20. The Yankees' pitching staff is absolutely wiped out. They almost literally have no one left. As for the Heaney trade, obviously that one is on Cash. Cash needs to go.
  21. Kike is actually a pretty good bargain.
  22. I would think in-season valuations could be a tad volatile.
  23. Cards have an outfielder named Lars Nootbaar. Now that has to be Nutbar in Scandanavian.
  24. BTV has Dalbec with a trade value of only 5.1 mill. Seems like an asset you'd be better off keeping and hoping for bigger upside than that...
