  1. "Spidering the ball" - I like it.
  2. Denny, I like it when I agree with you, and I agree with this post 110%.
  3. Well, it is true that the Red Sox hitters would have been in a different frame of mind if they were down 3-2 instead of 9-2. However, we've explained the perfectly logical reasons that Cora went with Perez.
  4. How long have you been following baseball? Long enough to remember the LOOGY?
  5. And you can't prove Brasier would have gotten Brantley out. No one can prove jackshit here.
  6. Perez has good numbers against lefties. Managers are supposed to play the percentages. It's all they can do sometimes. Maybe Bra would have gotten him out. And maybe not.
  7. It's already been said numerous times. It was a lefty on lefty matchup Cora wanted. It was either Perez or DHern.
  8. "Trust" is a strange word when applied to baseball pitchers. Houck gave up a pretty big 2 run jack in this series. I don't "trust" him either!
  9. If they're not going to use robot umps, then Laz and Angel should not be HP umps for playoff games.
  10. We beat Houston 12-3 in Game 3. Didn't need 6 in that one either.
  11. Of course the double mattered. But striking out a guy for the third out and having the ump blow it mattered plenty too. The two things are not mutually exclusive.
  12. True. But I actually think the Red Sox have been very fair to the fans in the way they've spent. They know it's a two-way street.
  13. Well, we did beat the Yankees 6-2, so we didn't actually NEED 6 runs. Another odd argument.
  14. Yep, and the stupid umpire didn't perform.
  15. Perez was brought in to get Eovaldi out of the game and because it was a lefty hitter coming up and Perez is normally good against lefties.
  16. None of which was anything to do with momentum.
  17. If you think momentum in a game is a real thing, you might want to look all the way back to Games 3 and 4 against the Rays. We BLEW LATE LEADS IN BOTH GAMES BUT WE WON THEM BOTH.
  18. Oh jeez, again with the "momentum".
  19. If the pen was as bad as you're making out, we never would have got past the Yankees and Rays.
  20. So what happened to their f***ing momentum from the previous 2 games? There's no such thing, that's what I'm saying.
  21. I'm pretty sure the plan was Eovaldi for 1 inning only. It was the same thing Cora did in the 2018 playoffs, using starters for 1 inning on their throw days.
  22. All 3 of you are full of it. It's like a shitsnowball LOL. The game was not over going into the 9th unless you think all of a sudden Eovaldi is a bum.
  23. Momentum doesn't exist. If it did, we would have won easily last night.
  24. Whitlock has been so good this year that it's a surprise when he gives up a run.
