    The Astros pitching was great start to finish the last 2 games. You can't leave Valdez and Garcia out of it. They dominated.

    Your post was good but I disagree a little with this last part. What we're going to see is more pitchers who can go 2-3 innings, so bullpens will not be killed. I don't really like this part of the game now either, but it's what it is.

    The bottom line is that over the last 3 games the Astros figured out a great game plan for how to pitch to us and their pitchers were on their games. Astros pitching turned the series around and won it.

    Agreed. It's like baseball is a tough game for a lot of people to understand.

    And I read the Comments section in the Boston Globe. Lots of criticism of Cora but lots of support as well. A reasonable cross-section. If not one of those fans you were listening to would give Cora any credit for getting this team this far, for beating the Yankees and the Rays, not to mention winning the ring in 2018, that's pretty ridiculous.

    "Baseball is a sport not real life". Sport is obviously a part of our lives that many of us care a lot about, so that argument is a non-starter.

    I'm not straddling any fences. I've said my guess is one of the two starts and one stays in the pen. I would agree that Whitlock is probably the best choice to start. Not sure what you're all worked up about. This is all just talk. Bloom will figure it out.

    Please don't ever use those talk shows as an actual source. Just a bunch of loud-mouth whiny know-it-alls. You get a better cross-section of fans here.

    If there was replay back in 1985, Don Denkinger's life wouldn't have been ruined. I'm not sure how a man's life being ruined by making a bad call is part of the beauty of the game.

    Balls and strikes calls are probably the hardest thing that any official in sport has to do. Especially with pitchers throwing harder than ever and with the baseballs breaking more than ever. Bad calls that impact games, sometimes blatantly decide games, are inevitable.

    And Stork is a really stupid troll, which makes him the lowest form of life. We have had a Yankee fan troll here who we generally refer to as "Babe" because that was part of the screen name he used to use. Babe was a troll because he was obnoxious. But the difference between him and Stork was that Babe actually knew quite a bit about baseball.

    The first question is whether they try to make a deal with E-Rod. I'd rather that than Stroman, assuming E-Rod comes at a livable price.

    Max, if the bullpen was excellent in the ALDS, but not in the ALCS so far, what does that tell you? This stuff changes from game to game.

    Jeez, Max, you're still running with this? Fact check: 1) The Red Sox have a grand total of 6 wins in the postseason (you only actually have to win either 11 or 12 to win it all.) 2) In one win we gave up 2 runs. In one we gave up 3 runs. In one we gave up 4 runs in 13 innings. That's half of the 6 wins.
