  1. Criticizing Bradley is one thing, calling him a loser and garbage is just wrong. He's a veteran who's been on division winning teams, won an ALCS MVP award and a World Series ring, career WAR of 18 etc.
  2. I realize. The bottom line is Bloom had his reasons and he seems pretty smart to me. He's made a lot of good moves. I don't see getting up in arms about the possibility of being on the losing end of a relatively minor deal.
  3. Bloom thought he was a potential starter until he saw the medicals. Downs isn't a bust yet. We'll see.
  4. Graterol is a mediocre relief pitcher. Making a big deal out of him makes you look dumb. Which you are.
  5. Assuming JBJ and Renfroe both play next year, JBJ will cost $24 mill and Renfroe will cost about $18.5 mill. So a $5.5 mill difference over 2 years. A questionable move, but not nearly the fiasco some have tried to make it out to be.
  6. Renfroe is under the Brewers' control this year and next. He's making 7.5 mill this year and probably 10.5 or 11 next year. This may turn out to be a minus trade, but it's unlikely to be a seriously bad one. It was a major upgrade on defense.
  7. This post is mostly nonsense.
  8. Every year? What?
  9. It's all pretty much a crapshoot, in other words.
  10. Dombrowski did the early lockup on Vazquez, not that anyone will throw a parade for that one. And you can't really knock the extension with Bogaerts. The price was low so it's understandable Bogey got an opt-out as compensation.
  11. They did offer an early extension to Mookie, the one his mother talked him out of. Mookie *seemed to* relish the role of the guy who's determined to make it to the free agency bonanza.
  12. Well, Judge did the same. And Bogey did sign an extension, albeit with the dreaded opt-out.
  13. I know, talk about a whipping boy.
  14. It sure looks like that's part of it. That trade was probably one of the best moves of Cashman's career. He fixed catcher, shortstop and second base all at once.
  15. It's almost time for another Vaz debate! He seems to be playing well lately.
  16. Max's contract is LNS, not LNL.
  17. Somebody up there likes Brasier.
  18. I'll trade you a "you were right all along" for a "yes, it was a discount at the time".
  19. Yeah, we've been through this one a few times... It can be at a discount and still be the highest. Not mutually exclusive.
  20. Since you posted this, Graterol has given up 6 runs in 2 innings. Priceless!
  21. The guy comes onto a Red Sox board as a "new poster" and gives posters s*** about the way they post.
  22. Some of both - the flip side of 1978.
  23. And I call f***ing Bull s*** to you for claiming that Dustin didn't give us a team discount because he got injured later.
