If you're complaining about being the team with the most titles this century, there's not much that can be done to make you happy.
It's easy to say, but the Dodgers were only getting one year of Mookie and had to pay him $27 million, so they weren't really in a position of having to give up a pile of goodies.
I don't think they're all in on 2022 either, but I do think they had expectations of making the playoffs. I don't think they planned to have a fire sale in July. But they probably didn't completely rule it out, either.
