    It's also quite possible the 14 games only tell us we "might" be able to compete. Of course, if the Rays and Yankees pummel us, then the mood gets ugly and talk of selling off will run rampant!

    They're paying Trea Turner $21 mill this year, so it's not a major leap to Bogey's number. Or maybe they like Turner better and try to keep him.

    The latest on Vaxgate seems to be that Duran has confirmed he's getting jabbed. Nothing about Sale or Houck.

    I don't disagree. But he has converted all his save opportunities, at least. He won't be mistaken for 2013 Koji.

    I realize, but Bloom is involved. We shouldn't expect Cora not to use the pitchers Bloom has given him.

    It was OK to sell off expiring assets in 2014 when we were clearly out of it. That's the only time it's OK for the Red Sox to do it.

    It's hard to predict what you'll get in return on one of these deals, but the Orioles got precious little when they traded Machado to the Dodgers in 2018.

    They've been missing some RBI opportunities, sure. But the back of their baseball cards says what kind of hitters they are. They aren't our problem. The pen is.

    Yes, he only hit .337 with an .878 OPS in June. Terrible!
