No, I don't think that, and I have no idea how you got that out of my post. I think the comparison of the Tortoise to Bloom is an apt one. Whether he wins or not, we will see.

Like I said before, I'll take an Eovaldi or Kluber signing right about now. And I have doubts we're even going to get one of them.

Is it possible that Bloom and the Sox FO completely misjudged what the market was going to be like this offseason, and that's why most of their bids are falling short? An unnerving thought.

The Tortoise won the race. The race doesn't always go to the fastest runner. Bloom is the Tortoise type and Dombrowski is the Hare type. Am I missing something?

But the Red Sox need a busier and more successful offseason than any other team in baseball, arguably. They're getting close to signing Kahnle, reportedly.
