    Richards didn't bother me that much because at the time dumpster diving seemed to make sense. But I didn't realize at the time these are the only kind of starting pitcher signings Bloom will make.

    I still find it hard to accept the Sox missed out on both Eflin and Eovaldi apparently because they wouldn't cough up a little extra dough. We're not even talking about big amounts of money compared to what we've blown on other players. Too much attention paid to a strict budget, and it's proving costly.
