  1. I'd say a reasonable objective for 2025 was to make the postseason any which way. If we follow through and achieve that, Breslow certainly deserves much of the credit. He has made some excellent moves, no doubt about that.
  2. Re-sign Chapman, sure. What gets it done is the question. 1 year guaranteed at mucho dinero plus a vesting option for a second year?
  3. Lowe is off to a phenomenal start in a Red Sox uniform. The only question is why he was so bad with the Nats. Did the Sox hitting gurus see something that needed to be tweaked? Needless to say if he keeps going good you'd be nutty not to want him as the 2026 1B. I agree with notin that I would just be happy with having him for a year at the arb price for 2026.
  4. Fried was on his game Friday, not much you can do when a pitcher of his caliber is executing.
  5. And the next lefty he'll face is Rodon who is also pretty good. He wasn't brought up to wait around until we get to face a crappy lefty.
  6. Hard to say, but Fried had been struggling before last night, and Rodon is having as good a season or better than Fried. They probably wanted to get him some AB's as soon as possible to get a little acclimated. He'll probably be seeing mostly lefties.
  7. Whoa. Explain the part about "without regards for player splits". That's a pretty big statement. Need some specifics.
  8. One thing I noticed on the replay of Anthony's homer Thursday was how "quiet" his swing and follow-through were, perfectly smooth and balanced with no wasted effort and everything synched up.
  9. Heck of a start. Also worth noting that in his last game with the Nats he had a grand slam and 2 walks. Thank you Nats!
  10. Sorry Brock, I don't predict much of anything when it comes to major league baseball, the most random entity in the sports world. All I do is watch and hope.
  11. "Fun" - great adjective there. Are you going to be dropping in here at all this weekend?
  12. I think the conventional wisdom for Fenway has been that you put your good fielder with speed in center and your good fielder with a cannon arm in right.
  13. A lot of the yuck factor with Masa comes from the $105 million he's costing the team.
  14. I'm going with Joey. I think Password might be funny the first 1,000 times but eventually loses its appeal.
  15. Looks like 2B is a Hamster/Raf platoon for now.
  16. Seems he's more of a Joe than a John or a Justin. Joey G it is.
