    JBJ obviously got some bad zone ratings on a few plays - it happens. I would expect him to turn those numbers around. The fielding ratings can look a little wonky sometimes, but it doesn't mean they're wrong.

    Not if they have a no-trade clause. Otherwise, in theory, yes. But in reality, the chances of some players being traded right now is .00001%. The Dodgers, for example, are not going to trade Kershaw.

    We seem to be pioneering the long term contracts that are awful in the first year of the deal.

    Trout is only 24 and locked up till 2020. And the Angels have lots of money. I don't buy the idea that they have any motivation to trade him. I think it's something a writer came up with for the sake of a story.

    I agreed with picking up the option. I wouldn't call it a no-brainer, because he ended the year on the DL with the type of injury that can come before TJ surgery.

    I think there's actually only one person defending Pablo. She sure does put up a good fight though.

    The Pablo bashing has become boring because there's nothing left to say. Every possible fat joke and condemnation of his character has been used. Time to let it go for a while. He's not part of the 2016 team.

    Price was coming off 6 seasons in which his lowest fWAR was 4.2. He seemed to be close to a sure thing. And I don't think anyone has ever argued that it wasn't an overpay or that it wasn't risky. It was more like something that had to be done because the rotation was so bad last year. Clay is Clay. I'm one of his few supporters here, but I understand why people have given up on him.

    It's a little shocking what has happened with Sandoval. He had himself a pretty good career going with the Giants. Sometimes free agency is a great thing for a player's bank account but not their playing career.
