  1. I could be wrong but I think our Atlantic weather is a little more difficult to predict. 'Noreasters' and hurricanes for example are notoriously subject to changing course.
  2. I wonder if it's because the weather forecasts are presumably more accurate now. Of course Boston being perched on the ocean can still screw up forecasts.
  3. Thank you Tiggers!
  4. He'll be back tomorrow night. Great thread.
  5. Hurst and Tudor, further down the ranks.
  6. Arguably he was forced into the majority of these moves by the poor condition of the pitching staff he inherited.
  7. Sounds familiar.
  8. Not a very good comparison with Thornburg and Smith where the unlucky part is injuries.
  9. Managers are stubborn f***s, that's for sure.
  10. Farrell is tweaking the lineup hard these days!
  11. The forecast I'm looking at suggests a late start but a big window where they should be able to get the game in easily. Fingers crossed.
  12. Those splits are bizarre.
  13. No point in that mal, the same thing would just happen. It's like trying to herd cats.
  14. I think Pablo probably had cooks, plural. And may not have been honest with the nutritionist at all times.
  15. I would think so.
  16. Jeteresque one might say.
  17. 'Lengthening a lineup' is sportscaster mumbo jumbo for having more good hitters in the lineup, I would say.
  18. Just for clarification, Dewey's example was of a driver proceeding through a green light.
  19. Lineup spark is a myth. Hitters don't make other hitters do better.
  20. They really have to stop running into so damn many outs - it's nuts.
  21. The W-L record of a reliever might be the most meaningless stat in baseball.
  22. This is a real hot button issue for you LOL My question is, shouldn't a guy running to first base basically just be busting ass rather than looking and listening for instructions from a coach?
  23. The first base coach's job generally doesn't start till the guy reaches first, does it? I don't think his job is to yell at guys to run through the bag every time.
