  1. I don't disagree. (He's .688 in a Red Sox uniform.)
  2. Oh sure, you can freely revise your estimate throughout the season.
  3. Nope. Anything 700 and over would be great for Sandy. And 750 or better would be great for Vaz.
  4. You said every team potentially has a good rotation. That would imply that every pitcher who starts the year in a major league rotation is about equal, if they stay healthy and pitch to their abilities.
  5. You're saying our rotation in 2015 was just as good as this one?
  6. Hit in the left hip with a line drive. Described as a contusion. Stay tuned and cross fingers.
  7. Which is not to say I'm not aware that our rotation depth could be a problem over the long haul.
  8. So what? I think the question is whether Lackey is still interested in playing or not. He hasn't officially retired.
  9. I don't know - it's not a bad rotation if Johnson pitches decently and Pomeranz is back quickly.
  10. Being manager of the Yankees or the Red Sox is a very tough gig.
  11. It's not that bad. We start out playing the Rays and Marlins - all the way to April 8. And we have off-days on April 4, 6, and 9. Plus we shouldn't be without Pomeranz for long from the sounds of it.
  12. You seemed to be pretty excited about Judge's spring training numbers - so which is it?
  13. Well I must say it'd be pretty sweet if Boone turns out to be a doofus as a manager.
  14. Here's hoping! Nice job today for sure.
  15. Cole Sturgeon
  16. Nice play on words with aspirations!
  17. I think it makes a lot of sense for Holt to start in AAA. We'll need him soon enough.
  18. And I'm the only one who voted for 96-101 wins, and my actual prediction is 96.
  19. Lackey actually had a decent second half last year. When we picked up Fister last year he also seemed to be 'out of baseball'.
  20. I think I'm one of the only Sox fans here who will concede that the Yanks should be the favorite on paper. I think we need more X factors to go our way than you do. It does happen, though.
  21. Parmesan truffle fries sound incredibly good.
  22. I feel bad for the guy. How frustrating would it be for a pitcher to suddenly not be able to throw the ball over the plate? Hopefully life after baseball is treating him well.
  23. He's also pissed from reading Talksox.
  24. Yes, it's an inflexible maxim of sports fans that if there's any way a finger of blame can be pointed, it will be pointed.
  25. And Pedroia has a career OBP of .366, so it's hard to argue with that approach being successful, for him at least.
