    ^ Come on. the reality though, is... We all know if they built a nice lead with good early season play, or going 8-0 against the Yankees, but then stumble in August/Sept., people would moan about how they don't look that good at the more crucial point in the season.

    it's showed up in spots, but this team has looked not into it and making sloppy mistakes. I recall Francona getting upset with the team in mid/late March during a stretch of a number of spring training losses. Believe it or not. He just wanted to see the club play more crisp, in-the-game baseball. Apparently, he was seeing some sloppy games down in spring. I just chalked it up to working out the rust in spr. training.

    Listen, we know what this is... I don't want to say it, because " I might get in trouble ". Ya know, only those imposter Dominicans like Pedro can be the black guy that gets paid to pitch mid-way through the season for $5 million. Non-imposter blacks like Sheffield will get no such luxury. Honestly, where do Torii Hunter and Orlando Hudson get their ideas from, it's like there should be a new Twilight Zone for crazy ideas by MLB players.     Does Jacksonian think you would often expect to score 16 runs in 3 games against the 3 Red Sox aces? Lester? No. Beckett? Yes. Contract extension boy is not a 17 mill pitcher against the Yanks. Lackey? Showed tonight why he is a great addition to this pitching staff.

    The worst part was when Joe Morgan said that John Lackey probably had to mend some fences with Red Sox players in spring training. Why? Because Morgan thought there might be some hurt feelings from Lackey's Angels days... My god. Joe Morgan.

    Thank goodness the ace pitches the second game. The guy that started the last two playoff series for Boston. Sorry, I mean the guy that will start a 3rd straight playoff series for Boston.
