  1. Cliff Lee isn't a young free agent, I just think it won't be the slam-dunk/bonanza free agency sign for whichever team gets him. But hey, it beats being the g.m. that inked Josh Beckett to a new contract.
  2. You're saying Beckett had a great 2009?
  3. Logic isn't Jacko, he had the team not making the playoffs before any injuries. Nail in coffin before May. When the injuries hit, he was pretty giddy. The Red Sox were getting alittle too scary good for him. Considering he kept claiming this was the "least scary team since '04" over and over.
  4. 1. Wacko Jacko is married. Poor girl. 2. Wow.
  5. What the hell did Hermida do to you? LMAO. I must have missed that so much was riding on Hermida with your "didn't step up when the team needed him" stuff. He actually had some big hits for the team. I think Ellsbury acting like he's close to death has hurt the Red Sox more.
  6. So the circumstances of injury makes another of your claims look right? Although you talk out of both sides of your mouth since you state exactly why Hermida wouldn't be cut (and maybe not even traded...) I'm not convinced Ellsbury's coming back till September callups/roster expansion is close anyway. Edit: Yep. I just heard that Francona said Ellsbury is not even involved in any intense baseball activity at all. He's at the very least, another 3-4 weeks away, a best case scenerio. By the way, I don't get what some posters are saying about Hermida "proving nothing" before he went down with the rib injury. He was pretty good with the bat. but of course, he's just a butcher defensively.
  7. Where's the guarantee though that he'd get right for the playoffs... since there is, practically none.
  8. I swear I recall Jacko saying they should acquire another starter like Lee and put Hughes back in the 'pen since it would work better than Vazquez to the 'pen or/ the continued sucktitude of Joba as an unreliable bridge to Mo.
  9. No, Josh. It's not "the end-all, be-all". You take your time, I'm enjoying Tim Wakefield time. Somehow, I think this year might have meant more to Josh if a contract had been on the line. He and AJ Burnett have the ability to waste talent at times.
  10. This game sucks as bad as people that believe in gamethread mojo. Sorry.
  11. Joe Girardi should be lucky he's not Billy Martin
  12. Joe Girardi should be fired in the morning, do it for George!!!!!!!!111
  13. booya. JOBA!!!!!!!
  14. Exactly. This is why Yankees228 doesn't get the same s*** that Jacko does for being a Yankees fan. Y228 is a Yankees fan that actually demonstrates some objectivity. Stop seeming downright happy how injured the Red Sox are and practically saying "HAHAHAHA, Do you honestly think your Red Sox will win now -- you have injuries !!!!!!1 " "I'm Jacko, I didn't want to admit the Red Sox were good BEFORE the injuries, now I get to declare their demise because of too many injuries."
  15. I may be remembering incorrectly, it's been a long work day for me, but hasn't Jacko accused Dipre (someone else?) of being a homer during back-and-forth spit fests on this board? I mean it's hilarious when Jacko accuses anyone of being a homer. It's like Alex Rodriguez coming on the Today Show tomorrow to say how disgusted he is in Tiger Woods cheating on his wife.
  16. Stay classy, MLB.com... http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100706&content_id=11985700&vkey=recap&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb Yeah, a Red Sox player got hurt. A "blessing" is the title.
  17. Yipeeeee, the Yankees are gonna win it all and are so awesome and like, the best. Ever. Ever.
  18. And I don't think the Red Sox are going to have to make up much ground, I think they're gonna hang in it. They're also going to get some of these guys back after the All-Star break as well.
  19. The problem is you seem giddy about the Red Sox injuries. You just don't seem like one of those fans of a rival team that says "I want to beat the Red Sox at full strength." It was probably scary to you that the Red Sox looked real good before the injuries, despite you saying that this was the team you were least scared of since 2004.
  20. although they often match up with the Yanks in the first round and lose.
  21. It's Joba-esque. But seriously.... I wouldn't want to go to most teams middle relief. Daisuke, the middle relief is a factor too much with him. Can't stand watching his games.
