  1. Tonight is an easy time to say it with the way Beckett pitched and it's just Game 1, but I just consider Lester the ace. Beckett would probably be considered a 1a... but bottom line, Beckett has had one truely great year in a Red Sox uniform. 2007 of course. Contract guy needs to get back to glory in 2010. These past two playoffs with him have been filled with a mix of injury and suck. Not that the two are unrelated.
  2. Just in time for Opening Day.... $400 headphones, the gift a Red Sox fan must have! http://blastmagazine.com/the-magazine/technology/gadgets/2010/04/400-red-sox-headphones-debuted/ Good luck selling these, Dr. Dre.
  3. It's almost like living in the year 2012 without the world ending and Joe Morgan gets eliminated.

  5. If you're not familar with him, he's not a well-known name to Red Sox fans but has meant a lot to Red Sox minor leaguers and the whole organization. http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/mlb/columns/story?columnist=edes_gordon&id=5051722 Unforunately his stomach cancer has returned and cancer is brutal on anyone, but after reading this story about what a tremendous man he is, i hope fans send cards his way. the article said that we can just send correspondence to him via the Red Sox @4 Yawkey Way, Boston MA 02215.
  6. Not sure how many people here are within the Boston area, but since we can get a lot of local stations streaming online these days... I was listening to WEEI in Boston, which has the Red Sox radio broadcasts, and now I know why I can't stand the afternoon show. They were saying that they hear no buzz from Red Sox fans about Opening night. That fans aren't excited about the Red Sox this year because there's a bad feeling about the offense. It sounded like excuse-making by the host for talking more Patriots and Tim Tebow this week than Red Sox. Or talking more about the Bruins than Red Sox. I am absolutely psyched about this season kicking off in MLB and watching this Red Sox pitching staff.
  7. I know. John Lackey is such a slacker anyway. He walked a batter today.
  8. If Dipre is a Dominican short bus rider, should we at least call him out on riding the imposter bus and not a real bus? -Torii Hunter's brain.
  9. I've been having a very good spring, John Lackey-esque

  11. His name is Dipre..... you must have him confused with Robinson Cano on defense.
  12. Wow... Beckett must really like Boston, I mean he could have tried breaking the bank in free agency. Curt Schilling said once on WEEI that he talked about this w/ Beckett after Josh signed his last deal with Boston at age 25-26. You take security at that point, but look to go gangbusters in your next deal. I guess I should appreciate that Beckett is basically saying "I'm still getting paid. So, a man can live... even if only on 68-70+ million." Sweet deal for him, sweet deal for the Red Sox organization.
  13. Oh, and happy Birthday, TalkSox
  14. Betty White is his agent. And she is a shrewd woman, Theo will cave before her.
  15. Tom Verducci and his SI Baseball issue has Red Sox coming in third place, missing playoffs. Amazing. As tough a division as it is, I look forward to SI being wrong on this one. BTW - Which idiot media outlet will pick the Cubs this year? I guess they can't win after releasing the Cowboy Up dude. http://www.nesn.com/2010/03/sports-illustrated-projects-red-sox-to-finish-in-third-place.html
  16. You are a gentleman of fine tastes
  17. Mayor mumbles Menino seems to never miss an eating oppurtunity.
  18. Yankees can't go back to the W.S till Arod's Canadian doctor is allowed to practice medicine again;)
  19. Not related to spring training, but Jerry Remy's twitter had something funny And his twitter has endless tweets about his new restaurant, directions to his new restaurant and tweets from his business partner. But god love him (Remy) for milking so much money out of Red Sox fans with the whole 'Remdog' thing and his side business projects.
  20. Come on, Jed Lowrie is pretty untouchable. Mainly because he can't seem to enter a baseball park without feeling sick. Untouchable.
  21. hahaha Sounds good. i'll check it out on the DVD collection.
