  1. I know you're a Yankee fan, but not everyone will sign with the Yankees. And how many more years is it till "the two young studs" of Jober and Hughes are ready to take the leap and be starters consistently already? This is more a crucial issue with Joba. Your team hasn't developed a top-flight starter since Andy Pettitte. Signing free agent starters in their 30's (Lee) doesn't work out every year, the Yankees might actually have to you know, develop one of their guys. They just seem to be royally screwing up the Chamberlin thing.
  2. how much of the postgame food will this guy cut into? http://misterirrelevant.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/johnson_nick.jpg
  3. he'd pound his chest if Howard Stern were playing left field.
  4. Mino posted the same thing on the SOSH board too
  5. Red Sox paranoia aside, you should realize that Jason Bay is actually a horrible fit for the Yankees. Holliday would be a much better fit, but neither is essential for them of course.
  6. You're absolutely right. Although it's being written everywhere that Vazquez is a counter move to Lackey. The talent levels between the two are obviously different.
  7. Yeah, pitching games in Citi Field and Merchant Stadium (whatever the hell they call that South Florida place) or pitching against the Nationals is awesome. I'll give him credit though for pitching in the Phillies division.
  8. Of course he doesn't. And that's why he posts stuff like that...
  9. People are going to be fooled if they think Pettitte will really be 2009 Pettitte.
  10. Only a Yankee fan would list the salary they just put on the books as coming off the books and talk about how it all sets you up for the shiny new bauble next year. Yeah, you can buy anyone, but Tyler is kind of typical (hey Tyler, do you post on an Angels blog too? You seem to be on Angelswin.com sometimes)
  11. josh johnson, roy oswalt?
  12. LOWE LOWE LOWE. Make. This. Happen. Cash.

  14. I'm assuming you never thought a client hates having Boras for an agent when he was dicking around with the Red Sox. For the most part, clients absolutely love Scott Boras. Damon doesn't hate Boras for a minute, he got Damon a 4 year, 52 million dollar deal from the Yankees years ago.
  15. Btw... If this wasn't you, then fine, but I believe you wanted Alex Gonzalez to come back this year, which shouldn't be happening either for team improvement.
  16. Yeah, that's really going to happen with a rotation of Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, John Lackey, Clay Buchholz and Daisuke Matsuzaka, plus some of the best defense in the league and still having Ellsbury, Pedroia, Victor Martinez and Kevin Youkilis (Drew also) in their lineup. With a pretty good 'pen. But other than that, I guess we might give Baltimore a run
  17. He wants the Red Sox, stop ruining my damn fantasy He did say he's been told he'd love hitting in Fenway. Back to my fantasy.
  18. the guy's probably not coming to the Red Sox. But boy does Adrian Gonzalez want to come to the Red Sox. He's dropped the hint to Nick Cafardo at the B.Globe before, then recently his pals dropped the hint to the Globe that Gonzalez prefers the Red Sox, then his pals tell that Jorge Arangure guy at ESPN that his friends say they expect him to be in Boston within 10 days. I hear ya Adrian, I want you in Boston too. Probably not happening this offseason though.
