Saying Nick Johnson is out, is like saying Angie Jolie adopted another kid. Could you ever count Nick Johnson in? He takes a lot of stints to the DL, he just wasn't a reliable signing.

Amazingly, Jon Lester, Buchholz and Matsuzaka all took batting practice and made it out without tweaking anything. It's either one thing or another with Josh... not that Daisuke has been the picture of health, either.

Yep . His baseball instincts seem off at times. Or he loves to make the highlight reel, flashy plays that Scott Boras probably has on DVD, but Beltre will oddly flub some routine ones. Just bizarre... -
You're losing mobility by playing Lowell. But no argument that Beltre has been less solid than advertised at times on defense. The man that many consider near the best of the game's third basemen. The man that Joe Maddon said he regarded as the best defensive third basemen he's ever seen. But hey, what does Joe Maddon care. He's got Evan Longoria and perhaps the best team in baseball.
