  1. I never read Van Every was Jewish, but then again, I didn't read that Breslow was either. So who knows, anyway though, it was funny when K.Rosenthal was interviewed by Dale & Holley/ WEEI in Boston (after writing that article ). Michael Holley asked Rosenthal at the time why FOX's baseball team was so white. Jeanie Zelasko, Kevin Kennedy and usually some other white host. Rosenthal said "that was different". Then Rosenthal was asked why there was mysteriously no "comments/reader feedback section" in the FoxSports.com article he wrote about racial makeup of the Red Sox. Rosenthal said he was glad there was no reader feedback section to the article he wrote. Eh.... he's a winner. That's why I can't stand his work.
  2. if anybody had "an erection lasting more than 12 hours", I think some of the photos in this thread will help avoid a trip to the emergency room.
  3. what, she doesn't turn you on? http://yeeeah.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/madonna-bad-plastic-surgery-10.jpg
  4. Imagine if Jacko needed either of those two things, credibility or objectivity, to post about the Red Sox, yep... that was a short thought that lasted about 2 seconds
  5. These jokes got old as fast as they were first typed... If this were the Mets offseason, these jokes would have some meaning
  6. partially in Japanese at the beginning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufwe7CeoOWE&feature=related
  7. That was Jeff Nelson. And Karim Garcia got in on some of the action. It was 2003 ALCS. Karim would be the guy that Pedro once mentioned in an ESPN interview, "Karim? Who are you, Karim Garcia?"
  8. And don't forget Swishlicious in 2010. He's gonna have an even bigger year than last!
  9. Jacko's reversal of quotes on Melk man was good... actually, it was all good.
  10. Wow, Imperial. Just wow, awesome work. I just laughed really hard at how you showed him up. thank you... thank you.
  11. Football writers tend to screw up when talking Red Sox, baseball. Since Borges is a football guy. (And man he hates Belichick). I know he's covered boxing as well.
  12. Just noticed this to bring back the topic of whether the Red Sox had improved or not... http://news.bostonherald.com/sports/columnists/view/20100129red_sox_uzr__drs__wait_till_next_year/srvc=home&position=also Yikes, Ron Borges.
  13. As opposed to all the Yankee fans that gave him s*** for years?
  14. And don't forget that Nick Swisher is going to surpass his '09 season
  15. Not just man boobs... His teammates prefer to call them bitch t*its
  16. So now he might play two more games than he even did in 2009, at another year older.
  17. Amen. The northeast is cold and bleak and I need baseball. Can't wait, I love the team the Sox have assembled. This is gonna be f-u-n in 2010. Watching this monster pitching staff/defense Theo has assembled will be pretty bleeping cool...
  18. Some words about the improvement the Red Sox made... "For Boston last year at third base, for example, Mike Lowell, who was unable to move well because of injury, cost them 20 runs, and now they have Adrian Beltre, and he added about 20 runs," Dewan explains. "Right there, the Red Sox have added four wins. Plus they've added three wins at short with Marco Scutaro and a couple more in the outfield with Mike Cameron. It's a huge improvement." http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100110&content_id=7897834&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
  19. oh brother, dipre's girlfriend is here.
  20. the padres roster is now being discussed more here than in San Diego. LOL I also didn't get the media clamour when it's repeated over and over about the local community/fanbase in SD being so upset over a native San Diego player (and a part of the Mexican-American community) being traded, face of the franchise and all that, when the Padres don't have much of a fanbase to alienate. As has been said here, they don't win and have no draw.
  21. I still remember watching Javy Vazquez on a Saturday afternoon game on FOX in '08. He was pitching with a lead versus the Tampa Rays, let's just say the White Sox didn't have a lead anymore after above-average boy Javy choked it. I just recall it because it was late-season and we were in a div. battle with Tampa.
  22. Yeah, I'm sure the Herald is a great "propaganda" paper for the Sox. Read Michael Silverman's piece just before Christmas, he actually believes Javy Vazquez is as good as Lackey.
  23. I guess Jacko had to move on to attacking the Red Sox offense as to why the Sox will have the floor wiped with them, since earlier in the offseason, he kept harping on how the Red Sox didn't have three reliable starters and "do you guys realize that you need 3 reliable ones to win a WS". John Lackey has now been added to a tough Red Sox rotation. Jacko, you are getting ahead of yourself if you think the Red Sox 'won't hold a candle' to the Yankees in the regular season with three ace starting pitchers, a good 'pen, and still having Ellsbury/Pedroia, Victor Martinez and Kevin Youkilis in the 1-2-3-4 spots plus Drew. They simply won't suck enough on offense to make the divisional race as smooth as you'll think.
