The larger point was how Jeter was always being diminished in some measure when part of the vaunted Nomah!-Jeter-Arod -trifecta-.
it kind of sounds like you saying Kinsler or Cano are a cut above Pedroia. This is just too much like Red Sox fans vs. Jeter in the 90's.
Arod choked for so many years, you'd be hard pressed to find a Yankee fan from 2004-2008 that would have wanted Arod over beloved Yankee Jeter. A man, Jeter, that delivered so many times for the Yankees. (And even on defense, he's no slouch. That big play vs. Oakland in the playoffs, or diving into the stands against the Red Sox.)
It's not all about pure talent anyway.... Cano isn't really as good on defense or work ethic as Pedroia. I'd also trust Pedroia more in a clutch spot. And I wouldn't take Kinsler over Pedroia.
