  1. lol! it's so true about lackey not being able to score that wife w/ out being a ballplayer. (I've also seen Sabathia's wife, who's cute, she'd never hook up with that fatso if no $$ was involved.) David Wells has a hottie too
  2. on a sidenote, Krista Lackey is the anti Mrs. Teixeira. Not only did she want her husband in a Red Sox uniform but she's also beautiful. If anyone has seen Leigh Teixeira, ah, she's not krista.
  3. (LOL, This is kinda funny since you were just dreaming of him being a Yankee in the post before. ) Anyway I think the Yanks greatest need in 2010 will be another pitcher. People got lulled into thinking it's all about the Bronx mashers after seeing what the Yanks did in the regular season on offense, particularly in that bandbox. The Yankees were able to get by on a 3-man rotation in their W.S. march (partially aided by too many off-days built in to the 2009 postseason) and.... receiving a superb year out of 37 year-old Andy Pettitte. These exact circumstances are simply not likely to repeat for the Yankees. So forget Holliday, Bay. They just need another quality starting pitcher, depth.
  4. "and, the most enticing part, a very aggressive front office...' The Red Sox have a pretty aggressive front office as well. Thank the lord they went out and found a taker for Lowell and are remaking this team's defense. Kudos to ownership for being willing to pay heavily to get Lowell out.
  5. Bay lusts to play for those Mariners!
  6. "change of scenery"... the only thing changing would be the team paying his ridiculous salary.
  7. What would Jacko think, other than, "WTF Gom??"
  8. you'd be pushing him off the Niagra Falls before you'd push him on any baseball club.
  9. I mean he was already wearing down at points towards the end of 2009, had to pitch a full postseason (even going far as to take his last start on 3 days rest), is around 38 years old. Oh Yeah, he's a sure bet to repeat his 2009 season. But considering how little Gom seems to value a young stud coming into his own like Clay Buchholz, it's no shocker that you would take CC-A.J.-Andy over Beckett-Lester-Clay Buchholz. The starting hitting lineups aren't a wash. The Yankees simply have a superior lineup.
  10. Right, Gom. 37/38 year-old Andy Pettitte is a sure thing to repeat 2009. Oh. god.
  11. i don't get why someone wants tejada at shortstop at this point in his career. and we'd have to move lowell to get tejada at another position.
  12. yawn should have been the reaction.
  13. Wow. Angst over losing Saito. And LOL @ Red Sox "being cheap". Critique their true mistakes, like the failure to evaluate shortstops. But enough with this believing they're cheap .
  14. that link from "Extra Bases"/ B. Globe blog doesn't say he signed though.
  15. I will say this... Jeremy Hermida in LF will be hard for Red Sox fans to accept in 2010. Obviously, it could happen, or the Sox will be making another trade / FA signing. But, I'm just saying, regardless of whether we all think Holliday isn't exactly worth a huge bidding war... he isn't really. But.... if Marco Scuturo ends up being their biggest FA signing....oh god, I don't even want to think about it. well... it could be a rough time for Henry (plus ticket prices up again, Yankee W.S etc). Plus, Marco Scutaro is not exactly who many fans are pleased with anyway.
  16. Can you please refer to them as the 'Red Averages'? I love Spanish-language reports because sometimes, though not in that article, they get translated as 'The Red Averages' in the online translator
  17. Yep... I just doubt in the end that neither Bay or Holliday would end up in Fenway next year. so then even if Bay ends up with SEA, Holliday will probably be signed. I doubt the Red Sox lose here.
  18. i hope the Yankees sign Brandon Lyon too as a Red Sox fan.
  19. Halladay to the Angels could make a lot of sense. Although I'd want what BOS or NYY could offer more than the Angels if i'm the TOR general manager. But the Angels could be a darkhorse for sure.
  20. Although if this were truely Santana II, that would mean that Johan Santana and Roy Halladay are going to pitch together. That would actually be cool if it weren't the Mets. They always manage to screw it up in-season
  21. Seems more like Santana II.
  22. He is my pick for an even bigger 2010 and I am really glad we got him Doubtful he has an even bigger 2010.
  23. WTF? I said I would be surprised if Halladay is a Yankee or Red Sox. SORRY EMMZ, I'll SEPERATE the sentence next time about him being a closet Yankee fan from the sentence about my surprise if Halladay becomes a Yankee (like 700hitter thinks). And you have to stop harping on pieces of a post like you did with the Alex Gonzalez "Red Sox dropped the ball!" thing.
