    Matt Harvey for the Mets (against the White Sox) had a 1 hitter (no walks) over 9 innings with 12K's but his offense was shutout as well so it's all for naught as it's in extras.

    This has almost become a comedy of errors. Now I feel it's even more important that we won yesterday's game, if we lost that game into this it'd be even more depressing.

    I def need the Red Sox to score a lot of runs. If nothing else I'm in a league whereby having the least amount of runs over the course of the season pays out, and I have the White Sox this week and she has the Red Sox this week. So it'd def help if the Red Sox started scoring.

    And the pitch count is looking good which our bullpen needs desperately, especially after calling up Webster rather than a reliever.

    I'd love to see Ortiz hitting well towards the end of his career to move closer and closer to HOF territory. (In terms of counting numbers)

    I know this might be silly but is Ellsbury the ideal candidate to lead off? I almost feel that Ellsbury/Victorino/Pedroia are ideal #2 hitters.

    I imagine that Webster will be sent down immediately after his start unless Doubront does horribly again in his. I'd have thought that they'd bring up a reliever (Aceves?) now since they depleted the bullpen, and then push him down and bring up Webster for the start. Hopefully we don't need our pen much tonight.

    I understand, I just meant that when he's added to the bullpen list we really have the potential (keyword) to have a dominant bullpen. Both in terms of quantity and quality.

    Something like that. (Wait for it Dipre) ...but I'm too lazy to check. Nah Aceves was optioned to Pawtucket on April 25th when Lavarnway came up.

    I wouldn't go with Hernandez since he pitched 4 innings after RDLR's start yesterday. Our pen can use some help so I'd prob go with Aceves since he can go for multiple innings. (If we're losing) We didn't use either Japanese pitcher yesterday so if we're winning then there we go.

    Don't forget about Morales either. Bailey is one thing but Morales can add a lot to the pen.

    For what it's worth, I think a lot of players say that because it's seemingly the right thing to say to the media, as opposed to saying "hell yeah it's about the money, this team better pay up or I'm telling you *******s to shove it" they say something polished and politically correct like "I definitely want to be here, it's not about the money" or if you're a free agent just signed by the Yankees "I've wanted to be a Yankee ever since I was a little kid"

    Aceves didn't pitch in tonight's Pawtucket game so maybe he'll be called up when Hanrahan is DL'ed in order to give our bullpen a fighting chance tomorrow.

    I feel like we should have Aceves up instead of Bard only because our only multi-inning relievers are either on the DL (Morales) or just threw about 50 pitches tonight.
