I knew I set myself up when I posted that, I almost added "and that's hard to do" but it looks like you closed it. At least we were able to set up something and finish it without blowing it in the process.

And the Yankees found a way to do it again. If they lost every game that they should have lost they'd be near the bottom of the division.

Well my mojo was nice for the first inning. Not so much after that. My apologies y'all. Won't happen again.

In their defense Salty was a lot of that problem, and Matt Moore is definitely a strikeout pitcher with a career K/9 above 9.

At least Moore isn't likely to throw a complete game because of the first inning so we might get our shot at the Tampa pen.

At least the strikeouts cause the pitch count to go up. I'd be worried that Moore finds his form so hopefully we can get him out early.

30 pitches and 3 runs is a great figure to see for a first inning against the opposing pitcher.

Makes me wonder why we'd start Papi vs. Matt Moore but sit him vs. Chad Jenkins.

I just realized that this might be my first ever gamethread. I thought I made one a while ago but I can't find it.

I'm not either and I agree. I wish the Rangers lost as well but it'll make for an interesting next round series.

I'd prefer if they didn't come from behind like that and just straight dominated like the Rangers/Caps game, but a win is a win. I prefer the boring molly-whoopin type beating where we can just laugh than any of that dramatic stuff.

That would only work if the players jerseys were also velcro, which I approve. Amendment accepted.

We should pad it with the stuff they put in those crazy people rooms. Either that or Nerf. We should also change the baseball to a Nerf ball and the bat to a Nerf bat.

I think 2-2 sounds about right. The Warriors should have won the first one but the Spurs were up a bunch late and the Warriors came back to tie it and win it in overtime, so whether they won/lost the 1st and 4th games or not it'd still be 2-2. I think this game is just as important as a game 7 for the series.

Position players do well for themselves as well. That said I want to petition John Farrell that I can at least throw the ball over the plate more than Doubront can and to give me a chance at the 5th starter spot long enough to get a few paychecks and find a hot wife.

He might be the one person that looks more horse-faced than Teixeira. He also sounds like Ray Romano with a Texas accent imo, but the last time I heard him talk was his press conference when joining Boston.

Might as well get wheels on it so you can roll the rocking chair to your front porch where your rifles are to keep pervy guys like my away from your daughter and little kids away from your lawn.
