  1. Trade deadline prices are inflated. Easier to make deals in the offseason for team needs IMO. Why be buyers now? It doesn't make sense to me.
  2. I think I'm getting there on Abreu too. He's a guy who plays great for a month and then is mediocre the rest of the season. Not sure he's going to get better than what we've already seen. Maybe his offense pops in another park?
  3. The Yankees are a below .500 team without Judge. I've said this for years.
  4. Anthony in the lineup. Sox 7 games above .500. They were 11 games above .500 last 8/3 and ended up at 89 wins. They have to go 16-3. I don't care about a "weaker AL." I just don't.
  5. It's a crapshoot if you have a team that can compete. If you have a team that has a below average offense, it's not a crapshoot.
  6. Whitlock, Duran and $5M for Esmerlyn Valdez, Wilber Dotel and Murf Gray.
  7. IF they start hitting HRs??? We're talking about reality here.
  8. Has anyone actually watched The Room? I lived in LA when Wiseau was still running the billboard for it, but never bothered to go see it then. All I know of it know is the memes.
  9. This is right after Passan said that Gray has a 25% chance of being traded due to his salary. 🤔
  10. Sure, but it seems like those people who were interested in trading Duran have history on their side. Same with Story.
  11. Don't worry, he's only day to day. Nothing to worry about! 🧑‍🦽
  12. I can see expecting more out of Duran or Narvaez, but expecting more out of Story seems farfetched.
  13. If you're going against another team with good pitching that can score and you are a good pitching team that can't score, it doesn't cut it.
  14. With Romy, they knew he was injured on the first day of ST. They decided to go with Monasterio instead.
  15. Having Rob Deere not being Mr December will be a stain on MLB's legacy.
  16. In terms of doom and gloom: Arias has been great, no complaints. Justin Gonzales has a 782 OPS in a league where the offense is out of control. Not really impressive IMO. Godbout is injured. Cespedes is a 5'8" DH hitting 815 in the inflated offense league. Romero has a 689 OPS in second go around in WOO.
  17. Wonder how long they'll stick with Soto that high in the rankings. Ramos is down to 28. Crazy bump for Primera TBH.
  18. Should he ditch the splitter or keep working on it? I think it's clear that Tolle was able to make it to MLB so quickly because he had one unhittable pitch. Eyanson is more of a sum of all parts pitcher. He's able to use his varied pitch mix and dominate a lower level. We'll have to see what it looks like at WOO for a few months where there are more seasoned hitters.
  19. Maybe he waived them off? Maybe the medical staff don't know what they are doing? Maybe they do know what they are doing and we're just looking for things to get upset about?
