  1. Only 3 XBH for Arias in the last 12 games. I keep missing the POR Eyanson starts. I hope my schedule frees up so that I can catch the next one.
  2. Tim Naehring was really bad early on in his career. Will Middlebrooks after 2013. Aaron Hill stunk. Wilton Veras in 2000. I'd probably pinch hit those guys for Durbin. Caleb Durbin makes Pablo Sandoval look like Eddie Matthews.
  3. Lots of coaches will take the gig. Nobody left to fill the CBO position if they fire Brez.
  4. The problem is that it's not one 0-4 day. This Monday is Memorial Day and the team is WAY below .500. This has been 8 weeks of failure.
  5. Who knows? Maybe. Can he even pull off a trade though?
  6. The main argument for keeping Bregman was his work behind the scenes in helping mentor and lift up young players. Sox offense has tanked without him. If you only look at players on a spreadsheet the way Breslow does, you build an offense that is at the bottom most categories and wonder how you got there.
  7. Wonder why you excluded '23??? Story 23-26 5.5 bWAR Xander 23-26 8.2 bWAR
  8. Ferguson was promoted to AAA briefly last season when the WOOSox needed IF help. He's probably up for good now.
  9. Something a little less than this due to Jhoan's years of control. Maybe you just get one prospect instead of two? 4. Phillies acquire RHP Jhoan Duran from Twins for C Eduardo Tait and RHP Mick Abel (July 30) One of the hottest available names in the reliever market came off the board as the Phillies added significant firepower to their bullpen in the form of Duran, who brings with him triple-digit fastball velocity and secondary stuff to match. Duran pitched to a 2.01 ERA with 53 strikeouts in 49 1/3 innings for the Twins this season. Tait, the Phillies' No. 4 prospect as ranked by MLB Pipeline, is an 18-year-old backstop with power potential who was recently promoted to High-A. Abel, ranked No. 2 in Philadelphia's system for several years after he was drafted, had since fallen to No. 6, but he's continued showing improvement, posting a 2.31 ERA in 13 starts as a 23-year-old in Triple-A in 2025.
  10. I don't remember this. I'm sure somebody called them a suspect or something.
  11. Oh sure. Hard to be one of the worst 5 players in MLB year in and year out if given several chances. How many chances should he get though?
  12. At his best, he was towards the top of the leader board in 2b's. He went to a park that is 27th in park factor for 2b's. Of course his numbers would go down. '25: 21 2b Away 9 2b Home
  13. Don't care. Breggie's ipad worked for Roman.
  14. Noted team leader and game planner has improve CHC's wRC+ by 4 points. BOS's wRC+ has tanked without him and his ipad.
  15. I don't think Bennett is a great swap for Gray. Gray is a 2-3. Bennett is really #5. Use the cost savings on offense though. Eyanson might take over for Bennett midyear.
  16. Happy Birthday to Rick Cerone, Wally Snell and Connor Wong!
  17. If punting on this year and potentially next. Actually resetting the franchise the way they should have done in '22.
