    Pats have already lost 6% of their season. The Sox losing 2 to the Angels is just 1% of the season and they are already resting up for the playoffs. Not a big deal.

    Did Drake "Interception Interception" Maye throw 3 Interceptions at the end of the game last night or no? New England Flops are right no schedule it seems.

    Pats are middle of the road in cap space and really hard to compare the two leagues in that respect too.

    Well, Sandoval will definitely NOT be starting in the Bronx. There is a conversation between Suarez vs Bennett. Bennett has given up 3 or more runs in 8 of his last 9 starts (5.08 ERA) and seems to be slowing down). Suarez has a playoff pedigree and has pitched a little better than Bennett since coming off the IL. If Bennett and Sandoval aren't Wild Card starters, then the Angels beating up on them at Fenway doesn't matter.

    In 1986, 4 MLB teams made the playoffs. When the Pats went to the SB for the 1st time, 10 teams made the playoffs. It is way easier to make the playoffs in the NFL. You can't compare the two leagues with playoff appearances.

    What do those teams have to do with the Pats now? What do those teams have to do with Fred being down on the Sox for having a few down years (just like the Pats did)?

    You're forgetting all those years where the Sox were in the playoffs competing for a WS ring and winning one with some regularity.

    With Hamilton, a lot of it is tied into his defense. His offense is still middling, but much better than Seigler or Mona's. I don't entirely trust how bWAR or fWAR add defense to their WAR calcs, but it's all we got at the moment. On Breggie, it was just interesting to check in as he was slumping hard earlier in the season. Looks like he'd still be a top of the order bat if he was here.

    4.5 fWAR and a WC spot. Seems like the Cubs are happy with the 1st year of the Breggie deal. Wonder how long he'll keep his production up? His Home OPS is 100 less than his Away OPS. He could have had a Monster season here.

    Adley's OPS was higher vs LHP than RHP in '23, '24 and '25. With switch hitters, it just fluctuates sometimes. I wouldn't read into it, especially over a 50 PA sample.

    Sox just had 14 games in 13 days. They have a game off every week here on out and are seemingly locked into the 2nd WC spot. Should be able to rest players and line up their rotation for the playoffs. I'm not going to be too worried about them dropping the series to the Angels. Go .500 the rest of the way and they are in.

    Hull & Gonzales (316 OPS in Sept) are likely not here until '28 at some point. Breslow does need to start clearing up some roster spots though. I think it's easier to switch out DHs than position players. Going into a season with 4 starting OFers isn't ideal. Eat Masa's last year of salary and trade him. Let Story play one more season and phase in Arias as 2b/SS. Hope Duran recoups some value and deal at end of '27.

    Let the foot off the gas and now he has a 475 OPS in September. Unbelievable. Go back to being mean so that he can be good for the playoffs, please.
