  1. Roman sprint speed: 27.8 Kristian sprint speed: 27.2 🧐
  2. I wouldn't put Early in the pen either. Tolle though...
  3. Roman is a better OFer and has always profiled that way. No reason to push him to DH to make room for KC.
  4. So they'd put Sogard on the team instead?
  5. He had a crazy hot July, but was not great otherwise. Needs to stretch out those hot moments a bit longer.
  6. There is no need for Masa. Most of us agree on that. I think we are hoping for him to have a massive WBC and some other org takes a flier on him.
  7. Gladden has been doing broadcasts for the Twins for 26 years apparently.
  8. He must have been plunked in the head a bunch.
  9. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/fitting-jarren-duran-into-the-red-sox-outfield-puzzle/ Interesting note from FanGraphs write up on Duran: Over the past five seasons, lefties going oppo in Fenway have hit .403 and slugged .641, the highest marks of any permanent ballpark ... Lefties pulling the ball in Fenway hit .332 and slugged .624, not only lower than when they went oppo, but also rates that respectively rank 28th and 30th out of 32 ballparks. The article mentions that Duran fell back a bit last year as he increased his pull rate and wasn't playing towards Fenway's strengths. Also notes that his range fell off in '25 and that he struggled against breaking pitches more so than in previous years.
  10. For now. I think that eventually becomes Tolle's spot in the pen.
  11. I wonder if they would send Oviedo to the pen (higher octane arm) and Crawford to WOO.
  12. Wong, Masa, Duran, IKF, open spot. Unless you think they are going to use one of Duran's option years????
  13. Duran plays one and sits one vs the LHP in CIN. I also think the order will change over time. Duran was the leadoff initially last season, before moving down later on. I think we'll see some adjustments after the first month or two.
  14. IDK about Marcus Phillips. His risk as a reliever doesn't seem really big 4 to me. I like Valera as well, but he didn't really put it all together last season either. My big four: Witherspoon, Gonzales, Eyanson, Godbout
  15. If you offer him a QO, he probably takes it.
  16. If you're betting on character, why give Duran an extension? Who knows what kind of PR nightmare he brings to the team in the next 4 years.
  17. Counting BOS only? Masa Abreu Monasterio Gray Gray Oviedo Weissert Watson
  18. Looks like the Opening Day lineup to me.
  19. Why give him a market price FA year? You only extend him if it's a team friendly deal.
  20. He earned $45M in '24 and '25 because of his season in '23. Not sure he was going to get anything this year. Maybe he could have received a larger offer if he signed earlier in the offseason that year, but we don't really know for sure. If you looked at his track record, all the teams that didn't want to pay him a large contract were correct.
