  1. Might have to dump a few contracts to bring him over.
  2. He hit LHP decently in '25. Elevated k rate, less power, but his OPS was about even. In previous years, it was pretty rough. With his swing and miss, it's hard to say what it'd look like in MLB. I think he needs another season in AAA TBH.
  3. Doesn't he need an offspeed pitch?
  4. Nope, just a radio broadcast.
  5. Since we now have a #2, it frees up Duran to be traded for prospects.
  6. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/leaderboard/statcast-park-factors?type=year&year=2025&batSide=L&stat=index_wOBA&condition=All&rolling=3&parks=mlb MIL is 25th for LHB, BOS is 2nd.
  7. Instead of building up the game, they are very great at tearing it down. Crazy, huh.
  8. There is a Rock N Roll High School movie that the Ramones are in. I believe Joey Ramone was the only Ramone to have more than one line. The only thing they could get Dee Dee to memorize was "Hey pizza! Let's dig in!" and he could barely do that because he was out of his mind. The movie was supposed to originally feature Todd Rudgren, but he declined.
  9. If they didn't acquire Gray or Suarez, some people would be talking themselves into Bello's new changeup.
  10. “What he did last year, the last three months, he was one of the best hitters in the big leagues,” Cora told Smith. Story 6/21-EOY 84 G 15 HR (38th) 58 RBI (14th) 836 OPS (57th) 2.8 fWAR (23rd)
  11. Ian Browne pumping Mikey Romero's tires this early in camp is a little silly. Good player, but not ready for MLB. Romero needs to learn how to make contact in AAA first. In ST, he'll be hitting off a lot of guys that are not ready for prime time and guys just working through stuff. You can throw those numbers out. He'd have one of the worst k%'s and chase rate's in MLB with below average defense. No point in bringing him up for a bench role.
  12. Always trust the "his bat looks better than ever" stories in ST. 😎
  13. ZiPS has Hamilton tying his career high 1.6 fWAR.
  14. Steamer gives David Hamilton a 82 wRC+ which is HIGHER than his career wRC+ for some reason. I just don't put much stock into the projections.
  15. Best Move: Trading for Contreras instead of signing Alonso for what the O's did. Worst Move: Ignoring the bullpen.
  16. That's the underlying problem with these projections models. It's less about forecasting the future and more about "here's what they did previously."
  17. The O's offense could put up a lot of runs this year with Ward, Gunnar, Alonso, Rutschman, Cowser and a step forward from Mayo or Basallo. The pitching should be decent if unspectacular with Rogers, Bassitt, Baz, Eflin and Bradish. They'll be better than last year. The question is by how much. I think O's get better and Jays get worse. Yanks really depend on the health of Judge and Fried.
  18. I think Cole even coming back as a #3 for half a season is an improvement. I don't see the Yanks missing the postseason, but I'm not really counting on Cole being the ace of the staff going forward. Really depends on Judge and Fried. With expanded playoffs, they are almost assuredly going to be in the playoffs every year.
  19. Those announcers were really terrible. DO can be pretty boring at times, but I'll take his boring national broadcast vibe over a bad broadcast any day.
  20. And for anyone that was vaguely annoyed by the Sox playing Northeastern or thinks ST games are lame, at least you still have the option to watch Sox ST games or not. The Angels are broadcasting ZERO games this ST. Wild. 🤪 Great org over there.
