    Where is the loyalty from owners to players? Sox showed little to no interest in retaining their top stars going back to the Lynn and Fisk days through Xander and Mookie days. Go all the way back to Babe Ruth if you'd like. Giving the owners more money won't fix that issue. Owners have less loyalty than players do.

    If you believe in WAR, Duran was a replacement level player this year. You could swap him out with a AAAA guy and get the same results. Why worry about letting him walk no matter what happens with Anthony? The replacement for Masa is Mead.

    Lowe has no power to LF. Per Statcast, Fenway would be absolutely terrible for his swing. Murakami uses an all fields approach and may have been more successful here. Lowe? IDK. I believe that his pull heavy approach would lose a lot of fly balls to RF that would be HR elsewhere. I think they are going to stick with Story for one more season, Lowe just seem to be a less likely option.

    Last 18 G with CHW: 46 PA, 1 HR (walk off?), 419 OPS Sox got the best 3 games of Jake Rogers they could possibly get.

    If you are worried about money's impact on the game, the majority of the money sits with ownership. Not sure why that would keep you siding with ownership on this issue. I don't have a problem with teams like the Dodgers, Jays and Mets spending money. I have a problem with the system that allows teams at the bottom to receive money and not spend it like the Reds and Pirates. The reason half the teams are excluded from WS contention every season is because their owners are guaranteed a profit no matter if their fans show up or not. Fix that problem and maybe the competition year to year will get better. Can't blame players for 10+ teams simply not wanting to spend. Caps are a boon to ownership. They don't need more money.

    If I was managing, I would have had Tolle finish his inning and Gray go through one more inning. If Miller still has his issues in game 1, I'm not bringing him back in game 2. Last 3 innings: Gamboa (high GB rate), Whitlock, Chapman.

    He had hinted that he was fine with retirement during the season. I don't think he's a guy that will be pitching when he's 40.

    1. Pulling starters early has worked for other playoff teams, but didn't work for the 2026 Red Sox. Will Breslow and Tracy continue with this strategy the next time they get into the playoffs? 2. What is the best way to add runs to this lineup? 3. Roman's hand injury clearly didn't get fixed through rest. What is the chance he finally gets surgery this offseason? Also, should we be giving him a mulligan for this season? 4. MLB was proposing a regular season game in Grand Teton National Park. Due to public backlash, the idea was dropped. What would be the best place for MLB to try to schedule a unique Red Sox game? (Note: I went to the exhibition game they played at the LA Coliseum and it was a lot of fun.
