  1. Zero chance of that unless several players die in a plane crash.
  2. Anthony had decent DH numbers TBH.
  3. 4 HR as a 2b. 2 HR as an OFer. Seems like he has more power and more comfort when starting in the OF.
  4. Seems like he's more comfortable hitting as an OFer.
  5. If they knew he'd be that bad, they wouldn't have shuffled him around as much as they did.
  6. Arraez is a terrible 2b and Venezuela is right to play him at 1b instead.
  7. I already said that Luis Arraez is currently on a heater (and slugging the ball somehow). It's clearly the reason Contreras isn't starting.
  8. '25 Splits KC as OF: 103 wRC+ KC as 2B: 86 wRC+
  9. #2 is bordering on the he was SS in a competitive HS league in GA argument I've seen before. 🤔
  10. ST stats: 462 AVG 1563 OPS 2 HR 13 AB I think we got a grade A panican on our hands folks.
  11. It looks like an actual BOS lineup? Just need the last few WBC guys back.
  12. Also, Clark was good in '91. He was bad in '92, but it's easy to remember a guy when they've held on for one year too long.
  13. They keep running out Arraez who has a 1168 OPS and leads the team in RBI. Eugenio Suarez has been DH'ing. Probably sticking with the pure power guy at DH is my guess. If Arraez wasn't playing out of his mind, Contreras would be in there.
  14. If that's the case, why do some people in the org keep saying that they believe he can be good at 2b?
  15. I think the answer to that should be pretty obvious to you if you've paid attention to this place over the past decade.
  16. Their bad internal metrics believe he can be a good 2b. 😎
  17. If you don't care about having Thaiss on the team, why bother arguing about Wong vs Thaiss offensively??? You spend an awful lot of energy trying to show that Wong has something left in the tank for someone who also thinks he can go to AAA. If Thaiss and Wong are virtually the same player to you, it's probably more important to keep the same consistency from year to year with the pitching staff and not demote Wong.
  18. If he wants to hitch his wagon to Wong, he can have him. 🤭
  19. I disagree. It was his hitting AND his fielding that sent him down. He had a 510 OPS over his final 30 G at BOS.
  20. '23 MiLB 31 LF, 18 RF '24 MiLB 204 CF '25 MiLB 42 LF, 87 CF, 58 RF '25 MLB 12 LF, 57 CF That's 500+ innings of scouting plus our own personal history to have an opinion on his OF defense. Adding in ST would add an additional 100 innings.
  21. Wong's stats are skewed by '24. '23 79 wRC+ '24 112 wRC+ (not repeatable) '25 39 wRC+ Thaiss '23 85 wRC+ '24 84 wRC+ '25 89 wRC+ I'm much more comfortable with what Thaiss can do with the bat this year than Wong. He's been much more consistent over the past 3 seasons.
  22. "Contreras has only hit over 22 HRs once." He's hit 20+ HRs SIX times though! From 8/11 on, Anthony's pace was 41 HR per 650 PA.
