  1. The Sox were just in the ALCS last season and are a team that can bump up payroll whenever they want. They have a history of going from worst to first and winning it all from out of nowhere. The idea of "window" for an organization like the Sox is silly.
  2. It wasn't "which option is most likely."
  3. If he DFA'd Dalbec, how many teams would he pass through before being claimed?
  4. It's so simple. I don't know why dumbass Chaim didn't think of it.
  5. I thought that was what TikTok was for?
  6. He should have traded Renfroe to the Yankees for Judge's expiring contract.
  7. That's how horrible Bloom is! If he only got only one more player the team would have been fine, but nope he just wanted to rut in the mud with the other piggies in last place! Inconceivable!
  8. The 2022 Marlins are the 2021 Oakland A's.
  9. I'm doing my part.
  10. iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
  11. Getting rid of Winckowski already? WTF? At least put him in the pen and see if his stuff plays up. He's only 24.
  12. BTV has Adell at 0 trade value, but Downs at 1.1. Adell is younger and can actually hit at AAA. LOL.
  13. May have to throw in Jeter Downs too.
  14. Chaim should start watching Starship Troopers so that he'll know how to kill the injury bug before it gets out of control next year.
  15. I think with the current litigation and a potential sale in the future, it'd be better for that team to NOT sign a large contract like that. Also better for a guy like Judge to NOT sign with a team in turmoil like that.
  16. Because he's on the 40 man roster and cheap. I think the Sox move on from him this offseason.
  17. I know! I know! It's why I'm not a GM. It'd be hard to not just go crazy on a contract for him.
  18. Baltimore is still 24th in attendance even with the good season they are having. I don't know what a contract like that would do to their team long term. Chris Davis was an anchor for them for a decade. They'd probably be too shy to go that route again. Also, that ownership is very cheap and I can't see them wanting to spend the money to move the fences in LF back in for Judge.
  19. I'm not so sure. He has a long history of being a fairly reliable late inning guy a la Mike Timlin. I think it would be foolish to throw out a player everytime there was an injury or a downturn. There are enough commenters now saying "why can't Sox get guys like Daniel Bard" and he was wandering the wilderness for 10 years!
  20. I think an infusion of HEALTHY talent should help a little.
  21. That 27.1 Barrel Rate though... His percentile rankings on Statcast are absurd.
  22. Why couldn't the Sox match a 7/200 offer? Same with the Yankees. They have a history of printing money. It's a matter of wanting to keep the player for the money, not being able to. Maybe the other teams would be dumb to sign them for that much? IDK.
  23. My hunch is that it's going to be Whitlock in the rotation. I don't think Lopez will be here.
  24. If they are even just a middling .500 team going through the motions, he can go away.
  25. Others have mentioned dealing from the farm to get a young arm or two. That's probably the best course of action.
