    If you think the Orioles are just a doormat in 2022, you have no clue about the players on that team right now and haven't watched any of their games. Forget about the logo on their hats. Those players are young and good. Stop with that baby brained ********.

    Who f***ing thinks about the Orioles in that way anymore? They have a great farm system! They are above .500! If ownership doesn't get in the way, they could be a really good team for a long time. This isn't Robert Andino pumping out his chest anymore. These Orioles are a real baseball team. The Orioles have a better record than more than half of the American League for f***'s sake...

    At this point, it seems a strong likelihood that Bloom goes that route. I don't think some people on here will be happy about it.

    Dalbec should be able to play 3b and LF. They may even push him to RF depending on the stadium. Hosmer is 1B/DH. Now that there are 26 man rosters, I think you can reasonably carry both especially since one is RH and the other is LH. I think Hosmer is expendable once they are comfortable with Casas. That's the real key.

Some other numbers: Schwarber age 29 Abreu age 35 Schwarber 40 HR Abreu 15 HR Schwarber 85 RBI Abreu 72 RBI Schwarber 19.5 Launch Abreu 7.9 Launch Schwarber .498 XWOBACON Abreu .409 XWOBACON Schwarber 20.1 Barrel % Abreu 9 Barrel % If you overlook Schwarber's strikeouts, Schwarber is just a beast. Abreu is turning into an aging Punch & Judy hitter who seemed pretty damn lucky this year. If I'm signing a guy for the next few years, I'm going to have to put my money on Schwarber instead of Abreu. Maybe I'm wrong, but the above numbers point out some disturbing trends for Abreu.

    If this team plays hard at the end of the year and gets to .500 but end up in last place, the narrative will still be "this was a last place team." Who cares if they are 81-81 or 75-87?

    Schwarber had a 120 OPS+ and played 127 games in LF. That was a lot better than what we got out there. They went over the tax limit, so I don't see why they couldn't sign Kyle AND Trevor? JD is coming off the books this offseason to cover Kyle's salary anyway.
